Small disposable bowls like these are good for microwaving water and oatmeal from the boxed packets. These Dixie bowls seem stiffer, more well-made, higher quality, and better at holding up with use than the Great Value ones I've usually used. The fact that they're thicker causes them to hold their round shape better and be less susceptible to collapsing, all of which contributes to their being easy to use with fewer spills. Color is as acceptable as any disposable paper bowls - are any of them truly attractive?

They are sturdy enough but should have got the 12oz as it’s a bit sm for a decent bowel of cereal but ok for soup n stew

Nice little bowls great price

I actually use these for painting. These are excellent disposable paint cups. Paint doesn’t soak in, nor does the “wax” coating (or whatever it is) flake off - at least for the paints I use. I can only assume they do the same thing with cereal or soup.
