I had a problem with my closet latches sticking since I bought a new house four years ago. Saw these on Amazon, much cheaper that Lowe’s. I did chisel out about a 1/8” for the rectangular part since my original was just a round pop up ball but these worked great. I really like the quality and adjustability of these.

The latch mechanism was super easy to install as I was replacing existing latches. Also, it's easy to adjust the amount of force needed for the latch mechanism, so opening or closing force can be made to be made to fit the application as needed.Overall I would purchase them again.

I moved into a house with couple of these that were worn out and grated when used. These new ones are silent and effective and fit into exactly the same spaces so installation was easy and quick.

This product is much sturdier than the ball catch I currently have on my door. The one I have now just fits into a hole, this has the plate that keeps it in better. The only problem with this is that the back of the plate is not flush so that when you screw it into the top of the door, it is not flush against the door because of the little screw lips that pop out the back. We are going to try to dig out space for them so that it can hopefully lie flat. Right now, it doesn't work unless flush.

Incredible product. Fit in the hole just like the last one so it required less work for a lazy slob like me. You see, back when I was married and had my own home, I took on a ton of home improvement projects. I'm over it and don't such things anymore. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate doing them, I'm just going to volunteer myself for them. Between the day job, channel, laser biz and C-dog, HIPs aren't appealing. We added this to our casita side door that did have a proper closing mechanism beyond locking the deadbolt. This product was recommended by my handyman, arrived quickly and was very simple to install. Does the job and we are happy! A GREAT solution to salvaging a door situation we inherited and were not ready to replace yet! Thanks META!

I bought 3 pair of these kits for the closet doors in our rental home. Four of the closet doors would not stay closed due to the failure of the original hardware. Since we have pets, it was important to fix the latching. I researched and found these. Much more durable than the originals and adjustable to give the proper resistance needed. They are working great. I will make sure to use these in future installations.

However, the design is straight forward and simple to envision and do. I was not replacing an older set but installing as new hardware. The lack of directions had me pause for all of 2 minutes while visually looking at the hardware and the two doors I wanted the catches on. A few minutes later after inletting the seats and centering and drilling the hole the catches were in and functioning like I wanted.
