Jessicurl Spiralicious Gel, Island Fantasy, 8 Fl oz - Curl Defining, Frizz Control for All Hair Types

My first order for this gel was back in 2019 after my friend recommended it. I wear my hair curly on a daily basis and cannot preserve it over night (despite trying), so I style it with this gel almost every day. It is a fantastic gel and whenever people ask what products I use, this is the only one I recommend (the others do not do affect the final results anywhere near as much).I love the Island Fantasy scent, but also order the fragrance free when it is not available in the size I'd like. The product works the same. My results are always best when I diffuse, even if I only spend five minutes. I like that this forms a cast that I can crunch out, but it doesn't make my hands feel icky and prompt me to immediately wash them if I touch my hair during the day. It also doesn't seem to build up on the days I do not use shampoo to condition and restyle, which I have noticed with other gels in the past.I lived in Austin, Texas for two years and was told by other friends who lived there that it was a "dry heat" prior to moving. Well, that turned out to be entirely FALSE, but my hair was kept under control thanks to this gel. Of all the gels I have tried over the past 20 or so years, this one is the best. I'm the laziest curly girl and I barely spend more than five minutes to apply gel and style my hair. I'm including a picture in hopes it will be helpful, although I know my results are nowhere near as perfect as others who take the proper time and do all the techniques. With ADHD and no patience to diffuse for 45+ minutes a day, this gel helps me look presentable for society and I still manage to receive frequent compliments. It is worth every penny!

Jessicurl products always amaze me. This is the first product I bought from them, and since then I fell in love with the brand. This gel is perfect and works really well for my hair. It has a medium-strong hold, its not drying and makes hair feel smooth and moisturized even after dry. It is really fragrance, SMELLS LIKE NOTHING, and that's AMAZING!Also, the small bottle is a perfect trial size before you buy the big bottle. I love when companies allow you to buy trial sizes.

I love this stuff! It gives me soft, beautiful curls without the frizz. I like that it is unscented and doesn't attract black flies in summer.

The media could not be loaded. LOVEEE this product. My first light weight gel and I’m in love with the smell. It doesn’t leave a sticky residue. No weird white clumps. Hair does not feel crunchy after cast wears off. My only issue is that it does feel a little drying so I would put on something moisturizing first.

This gel is great! I normally prefer fragrance free products but for some reason never thought to give this gel a try. I haven’t even done a full curl routine with this yet or paired it with a curl cream (because I’m lazy) and my curls still look so much more defined and last so much LONGER than any other gel OR mousse I’ve tried—fragrance free or not! It gives a GREAT strong hold with almost no cast that lasts for days. I’m 2C/3A and have high porosity hair and it really works amazingly for my hair type/porosity. It doesn’t weigh my hair down at all, but definitely leaves build up so wash days are as always important!

Read all the amazing reviews, youtuber's experience, and Jessicurls website. It sounded very promising. But, it did not help get rid of my frizz. I have 2a/2b wave/curls, high porosity. I washed my hair using the cg method. I did my co-washing, conditioned my hair, then lathered a leave-in conditioner and then applied a curling custard. Then I applied Jessicurls spiralicious gel, plopped for 10-15 minutes, air dried for another 10 min, then used my diffuser. So, my curls were more defined, that I did notice. But, I still have frizz. So, not sure if I am doing it wrong or I should use less products. I just felt I didn't work. The gel is kind of watery, but thick at the same time. It smells like lavender.

My new go-to gel for wash days! I almost returned this product at first, but my issue with it was completely user error on my end. They’re not kidding when they say your hair needs to be dripping wet. It’s runnier than most gels, so the water helps it apply evenly. The wetter your hair is, the more frizz free and solid the cast is. If you put it in hair that’s just damp, it’ll be frizzy and crunchy looking. When used correctly, it provides nice definition with a cast that can easily be scrunched out after it dries. Great frizz control and the smell is amazing.

This works perfectly for my hair, brings out my natural curls and prevents stray frizzies. Love that it's non scented cause I'm really sensitive to smells. Finally found a great product for my curls!
