Mat Auryn is an awesome author! This book is a great guide to those who want to learn Tarot! I loved his first 2 books also! He makes it fun to learn because he offers exercises to do as you read!

After almost 40 years of reading Tarot, this book re-kindled my fascination with the cards as a tool for personal growth, and challenged me to review and further hone my skills as a diviner.Most Tarot books follow the this-card-means-that format. The Psychic Art of Tarot takes a different approach — it guides us to improve our personal relationship with the cards.Mat is not one to skim the surface, and he demonstrates his deep knowledge not only of the cards but also of the ideas and techniques of magick and occultism. We get to build a Tarot temple on the inner planes, meet our own Tarot spirit guide and work with them for personal development as well as further insights during readings, and learn ways of using Tarot to back up other psychic explorations, such as remote viewing, telepathy, and mediumship.There are 78 (!) exercises, with clear explanations and reasoning back up the techniques. We also get a bunch of layouts complete with sample readings that he has actually done, not just made up for the book. And it’s here that Mat’s brilliance as a reader shines through. He’s not only concerned with divining the querent’s issues and possible outcomes, he knows that the querent has to be able to hear the message. This means using psychic insights and natural empathy to craft a way of communicating the message of the cards that resonates with the querent. And of course, there are exercises for that, too.I’ve read — or at least skimmed — a ton of Tarot books over the years. This one, though, is getting my golden buzzer — a print copy, where it will join, on a very short shelf, the few other books I consider Tarot classics.

Everything this man writes is gold! Please write more books. I will buy them all!

I really enjoyed this one. Mr Auryn has great insight and communicates it very well. I have the audio book as well, & the narrator James A. Foster does wonderful work. If your busy person like me, & a big note taker, audible has a “clips” icon where you can mark a spot & notate! Super helpful.
