Is the big larry capable of taking 14500 rechargable batteries ?

I tried some standard Duracell and Ikea AA rechargeables and both were too big to insert all the way in. They get stuck at the notch close to the contact at the end. I can see where the casing is scraping. Luckily i didn't force it and managed to remove them but you may struggle to get them out. I used a magnetic tool to fish them out. Annoying having to find a battery a few mm smaller

No. It comes in a rigid plastic wrap on a card back. Brilliant torch. Excellent present.

Hi, can anyone tell me how to get it to stay on? Mine goes out after about 9 secs, says it has a memory power setting but can't work out how do that.

it's gone into demo mode, just keep the power button pressed for over 20 seconds or until it flashes

Does it take 3 or 6 AA batteries please..? Thanks.

Mine only came with 3 batteries (installed), despite the description saying 6 (included). Getting some eneloop rechargeables anyway.
