Super product - super support.
This unit has been a workhorse for its first year. The power consumption has been exactly to specification; remarkably low. The noise level is low when running and the on off cycling is not excessive; it hold the cold well. We have used it in weather exceeding 100F. The build quality is very good.I use this in my van build. Having the ability to hard freeze items has allowed for extended off grid trips. The most loved feature is the ability to open the lids on either side. We have our extending sideways across the van just behind the drivers seat. This allows us access to one half of the unit for cold drinks, and both compartments from the kitchen side. Since either compartment, or both can be freezers, we have had ice cream snacks on the road as well.ICECO stands by their product. We had a minor glitch and Customer Service was both highly responsive in troubleshooting and then providing what was needed under warranty. As a result we did not miss a single scheduled outing this last summer. I trust this company as they have demonstrated being trustworthy. We are now considering an additional unit for our cabin. Since it runs on either 12vDC or 120vAC it is a perfect choice for an area with power uncertainty. We won’t face spoiled freezer messes again. Our unit is a year old and lacks some abilities of current manufacture. I understand that current manufacturing includes Bluetooth with CarPlay compatibility, and some improvement to operating logic. These changes can only make a good unit even better.Yep, big fan of the product and company.

Camping? Emergency? Tailgating or party? Great Product
Being a family that enjoys the outdoors and camping, we were looking for a portable refrigerator that could fit in our trailer, or the back of our vehicle with no problems. We were looking at ARB, Snomaster and Domentic. However, those were very pricey for the size options they had.We started seeing ads and the brand ICECO as we were shopping around were intrigued by the price for the size options. We decided on this model because of size, dual freezer or fridge option, removable lids and the slide the fits in trailer. However, upon receiving the unit, our residential full size refrigerator started to act up and we needed something to safe what we had. So we used the ICECO vl75 ProD in hopes it would help us get by until the full size unit was fixed. It did that and more as we have had to use it multiple times.Taking it camping was even more of a shock in a positive manner. We had it powered up through the DC port, in ECO mode and small battery draw. With solar panels to charge the trailer during the day, the fridge maintained temperature and and never drained the batteries. We have it on the slide out (built-up to clear the door way) and found that to be the easiest way to access both sides of the ICECO vl75 with ease. However, the last time we had to run it in doors as our backup, I made a mistake. I had it plugged in to the DC port of our electric generator (couldn't find the AC plug) and it was working great. I found the AC plug and forgot it was plugged in to the DC port still. The AC module had agreed to burn out.Customer Service - I reached out to ICECO for the above issue and after trouble shooting the issues, via photos and suggestions from the staff, it was determined that the AC module was no longer properly working. The staff is willing to send us a new unit ILO a refurb and we ARE GREATFUL for that.All-in-all we are very pleased with our ICECO vl75 ProD and have suggest ICECO as a whole to many friends and family members. Their products have not only saved us in a time of need but also served us in a time of joy. I would recommend them for value, quality and performance as well as staff.

Some of the best features you'll see in a portable fridge.
I purchased a VL45ProS as a replacement for another model that didn’t work out for me. As with other models, I put this unit through a good amount of testing using Bluetooth thermometers and mechanical ones. I ran it for several days on AC and separately tested it while attached to a power station so I could monitor real-time power consumption.I will say I was pleasantly surprised at how well this unit holds temperature in both Max and Eco modes. During testing, with 72 deg ambient temperature, and a set point of 38 deg, this fridge maintained a very acceptable 1.5 deg variation between cycles, pulling roughly 50W during the initial cool down, and only 32W each successive cycle as it maintained the temperature. The unit generally ran for only a few minutes each cycle, and then coasted without the compressor running for 15-20 minutes. Noise level while the compressor was running was roughly 55dB at compressor start, which very quickly drops to 38-40dB as the compressor settles down.I was easily able to power the fridge directly from a solar panel and still had plenty of power to recharge the power station with only moderate winter sun and heavy shading supplying 50-80w of power. I tested the unit with it empty and with it 50% full of water and other items, and its performance was almost the same either way.A note on the temperature accuracy of the front panel vs. actual measured, as this seems to be a major point with most portable fridges. The unit I received was off by about 3-4 deg (which is very good for this type of fridge and way better than most), however the VL line has a cool option for calibrating the internal sensor to align the setpoint display. So, after adjusting the F1/F2/F3 parameters, the fridge is now dead accurate with the measured reading of the external thermometers and the front display set point now matches what’s actually happening inside. While this may not seem like a big deal, if you depend on your fridge to keep your food at a safe temperature (below 40deg), this is a pretty nice feature. If you’re thinking about a portable fridge in this size range for extended use in overlanding or camping, you will be hard pressed to find another fridge like this one; with its large capacity, low power consumption, high insulation efficiency, and multiple power connection options on both sides. Not to mention, the trick lid that opens from both sides and comes off without having to change anything, making it super convenient to get into from wherever it sits in the vehicle.
