Build quality:I have always found Acer products to be long-lasting and of high quality, which is why I purchased the Acer 5-in-1 USB hub. The hub functions perfectly well even with multiple USB devices plugged into it. The cable is rather thick and sturdy. You get 4 USB A 3.0 sockets as well as a USB C socket, which is convenient to plug in your phone, as most phone cables are USB C now. It runs smoothly and fast.The Acer USB hub is safety marked with the CE mark and UKCA mark. The cable has a velcro tab to keep it tidy, which is handy.All in all a decent device and I'm sure it will last for a long time.

Good and fairly priced way to add additional ports to your Surface 4 laptop ( which only has two ports!)

This product works as expected for a usb hub without any additional power needed. I tried all 4 sockets simultaneously and they appeared in windows file explorer as expected. I didn't note data transfer speeds but seemed fine copying files and playing movies. The main reason I bought this hub was for the additional usb power. The usb's on my pc only provide 5v 2.5 watts of power, this isnt enough for my portable hard drives. So into the usb c port I've connected a 20 watt phone charger. You may need a more powerful charger if you intend to run 4 HDD's. This has solved my HDD problem. This is a five star product considering that the price is very reasonable however I've docked one star as the sockets are too close together to allow my two kingston data traveller usb sticks to be side by side (a minor point really).....

Looks good, does what it says. Just wish I paid more attention that the USB-C port is useless except for anything also attached via the USB-3 ports, as being able to charge with that would be super handy - But they do make that clear several times
