For obvious grown-woman-using-mermaid-brush reasons, I felt a little absurd buying these for myself. They're whimsical and girly; they seem more than a little frivolous; and I felt (perhaps appropriately) abashed about wanting these.But I felt utterly VINDICATED once I started using them. They're great-quality and super soft, and they do an awesome job blending. They've weathered many a bristle bath without any shedding, too.The set comes with a large powder brush, a blush/bronzer/contour cheek brush, a stippling brush for highlight, a domed eyeshadow brush, and a nice, firm pencil brush.My favorite is the large powder brush because it's so, so soft and picks up product well for an even application. I love, love this brush.My second-favorite is the cheek brush, which I use mainly for bronzing. It's firm enough to help create a real contour, but it also will help you blend out color when you've picked up a little too much product.I also really love the pencil brush. Want to line your eyes using a fun-colored eyeshadow or blend out some color on the lower lash line? This is your guy.The eyeshadow brush is also nice and blends well. My least favorite is the stippling brush, but only because if I'm using highlighter, I'm not going for subtlety. This brush will create a subtle, dispersed natural glow; for an intense, full-glam highlight, I use my fingers or the domed eyeshadow brush.Anyway, I love this set. If this included a tightly packed foundation blending brush instead of the stippling brush, I'd be stockpiling multiples of this set to keep for myself and to give as gifts. C'est la vie.

I purchased these as a birthday gift for a friend. The brushes are quite soft, and the bristles are good quality. I love the design, and the handles are quite sturdy. I was concerned over the narrowing at the tail as well as the tail, but these seem solidly built. I would definitely recommend!

I love the price, the colors, and how soft they are. They are however a little bulky and long so they dont really travel well unless you take a big enough make up bag to put them in. They are my permanent house brushes which is fine because I dont have to worry about losing them.

I've wanted to get theses months ago sense I got the mermaid eyeshadow. Not only is the color beautiful but the brushes are so soft I really like the little brushes.

I was nervous about getting more brushed because I have purchased other sorts of Amazon brushes but these were amazing, and what was expected from Tarte! I love the softness and denseness of the brushes. I have thrown out all my other brushes now that I have these.

Great quality 'super cute' make up brushes. Bought them as a gift for a 19 year old but may have to get them for myself based on the 19 year old's rating!

THEY ARE AMAZING SO SOFT. I love them they are a little bit over priced but amazing they work amazingly. Would recommend. Only thing is that they are kind of too big so when buying a makeup bag u need to make sure they’ll fit.

These are HUGE and they are very, very beautiful. I don't regret the purchase, but admittedly these are more for "show" than for use. I've used the eye brushes two or three times and was disappointed each time, and ultimately these just sit about looking cute. I DO like the powder brush quite a lot. And again! They are beautiful! If you can catch them on sale, I still say they're worth it.
