The item was easy to install but is designed for one solid piece of wood for the step. It is not suitable for smaller pieces for the treads as there are only two holes per metal frame. I installed it as a secondary step off my Trex deck. The standard Trex plank width is too small and the metal piece would have to be modified to install (ie more holes). This step lands on a gravel area so I used some 16 inch stepping stones as the landing pad.

Such a good value. We r building a deck and priced wood stair stringers and making them on our own. When we found these on Amazon we thought they were too good to be true. They are amazing. Easy to assemble and they are so sturdy. We highly recommend these. We got the double but they also come in triple.

I got this so pups could use for pool access and watching us. I know not normal reason lol and I got a step to long but it works! It seems to be sturdy as I have gone up a few times and I'm sure the grands will climb to jump in pool when they visit. It was really pretty easy to assemble even for this over 60 women. Of course I had to buy the steps separately from local store drilling holes and getting them attached was a bit harder then got help moving it into place. But I love the way it looks and am thinking of trying my hands at a deck to attach it to next possibly. I do put boogie boards on it so pups don't get in pool when unsupervised.

I used 8 of these on a 16 foot wide step. Says they will support 2,000lbs between risers. The metal risers provide a great finished appearance and compliment any other black hardware on the deck as well as the furniture. Quality of fabrication is excellent with full seam welds. Recommend to anyone as far superior to wood risers. I used lag bolts. Included hardware not for wood.
