Great luggage
I am really liking this luggage. I love not have to use a zipper. It holds a ton of stuff and opens and closes nice and easy. As heavy as I pack it, it stays closed with no problems. The handle releases and reinserts as smooth as silk and it rolls beautifully. There is no wobble when you open it up, it’s nice and firm feeling and shuts with no issues. The handles on top and sides for option of carrying are nice as well. Hoping that this will last longer than the zipper style luggage, which always seems to fail after about a year. You know, where it gets to the point that the zipper starts to separate and your things start falling out? I’d buy again. Samsonite has gained another customer.

Fantastic carry on!!
As a world traveler, quality and function are key. Super light weight and the right size that local and international airports require for a carry on that does the job. After 20 yrs of another samsonite I am more than happy with the change. From a train to a plane to a taxi there is no time for a problem and this luggage delivers for my wife and I so we have 2!

Not bad at all.
I bought this most excellent Samsonite suitcase so that I wouldn’t have to lug around a gigantic one. In this role it serves admirably. It’s lightweight, strong for its size, has nicely divided internal compartments and has a real easy locking system. It’s easy to wheel around too, as it has 4 wheels. It’s scratch resistant and if you use packing cubes you can make it work for a week on the road. I normally use one compartment for clothes, and the other for shoes, hygiene kit, belt buckles, and such. It allows me to segment clean from dirty, too. I’m a fan. You should buy one. You’ll be happy that you did. My only gripe is that it doesn’t have airplane wings, control surfaces and two engines, which is a real advantage when you’re dealing with the clown show that is the modern airport experience. It would be nice if Samsonite introduced this as a feature in the next version. This way you can just fly out of your house instead of dealing with the circus.

Good luggage that can be difficult to lock & lacks corner protectors.
I bought both the carry-on spinner (used - like new, and it was) for $160 and the 29" new for $250 with tax. We travel internationally frequently and prefer zipperless luggage for better security. This luggage is attractive and well made and has performed ok on trips so far, however it is very difficult to close if over stuffed and it lacks corner protectors, which is a concern. The locking mechanism is a single little L-R slider tab in the middle that connects to the locking mechanisms on the left an right side. It is very easy to operate if you don't over stuff the luggage, but very difficult to lock if you do, as you need to press on both sides where the locks are while at the same time sliding the tab which can be rather difficult. We found the similiar Luggex luggage on here to be better and easier to use, since it has seperate external locks on the R and L that you can close individually, plus it has large corner protectors that is luggage lacks. Their carry-on spinner is also over $100 cheaper at this time.

No zippers to break!
Finding zipperless luggage isn’t easy. I have an old Samsonite zipperless spinner that is 7 years old and needs retirement after hundreds of trips. This new case has an ingenious internal lock system. No zippers to break! It rolls nicely on any surface and keeps my clothing dry after sitting on the tarmac in a rainstorm. A failing that zipper luggage has, In that water can seep into the bag through the zippers. I just went 8000 miles with this bag, and only see a small scuff from all the handling in the last 2 weeks. This is a huge suitcase and only weighs 11.5 pounds. It’s hard to find this type of luggage in the USA, and if you do find it, a large zipperless bag is over $400. This was a bargain at half that price, and I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use from it, like I did the previous piece of zipperless luggage.

Don't settle, get something else
This locking mechanism is so poorly thought out. You can't overpack, you can't even average pack. You have to under pack and then press on the corners for the latches to catch using the zipper pull to lock. Get a suitcase that has actuales external latches you can leverage. I took this to Africa for 3 weeks and fought with it every time. I've reached out to Amazon customer service who were both helpful. I've not reached out to Samsonite to see what they say.

Security
I can not say enough good things regarding this awesome suitcase. I do many international flights and needed a secure locking piece of luggage and one that stood up to the rugged handling with the baggage handlers. Considering purchasing 2 smaller ones soon.
