Love this Mac n Cheese!
I have been dairy free for 8 years now, and I miss the original Kraft Mac n cheese. I was super excited to try it, however, the original version is not very good. The white cheddar version is much better. Not a fan of the shells, but I just use the powder with my own noodles. Seeing that the white cheddar is always out of stock, I’m thinking it is the more popular one. Ditch the original, swap out the noodles with the white cheddar, and you have a much better product!

Definitely Passes!
I've been vegan for 20 years and I'm so excited by all the new vegan products that come out everyday. I was thrilled to try Kraft vegan mac and I gotta say, what took you so long? I put one tablespoon of unsalted vegan butter (I use Earth Balance) as 4 tablespoons seemed like an ungodly amount and it tasted just fine. You also need to make sure you are using UNSWEETENED alternative milk. I think also what alternative milk you are using will change the flavor. I wouldn't say it's any better or any worse then any of the other vegan mac and cheeses I've had and the price of under 3$ (it was 2.25 when I bought it) is a definite perk in today's world but I don't think I'd buy it if it goes beyond that. Unlike some other reviews, I didn't think it was too sweet. People might try putting less butter in it. It didn't smell like dryer sheets either, maybe old socks, as most cheeses do.I thought it was creamy and you can certainly spice it up or down and add veggies or mock meats what have you and make it a more substantial meal. I'd say, I'd give it a try. Gave it to my non vegan family which I can't tell them if it's vegan because they will automatically hate it, but they loved it. I say, keep coming out with the vegan products! More, more!

White Cheddar is definitely better
We were really excited to finally try the Kraft / Not Milk partnership vegan Mac and Cheese product line. The Original flavor definitely tastes good and had a great cheesy texture, but it was definitely a bit sweeter and had a slight after taste. The White Cheddar on the other hand had a much more pleasant and less sweet flavor than the original. Texture wise these were both 5 star, but even though they were very good and close to the original Kraft versions, I have had a couple better tasting (and healthier) vegan boxed Mac and Cheese (Modern Table, please make a return!!!). With that said I would definitely buy these again, but I would also say I have to be in the mood for these ones and I hope they look into improving the flavors. Also of note these boxes were only 6 oz. which is a little disappointing considering the price point and it's not like this product is organic or made of high price ingredients. Please make more interesting vegan flavor options and make these boxes equivalent to the original sizes.

I wasted my money on this; don’t waste yours…
I don’t often write reviews for products that I buy, but this one necessitates a review from me. I’ve eaten dairy free for many years due to a dairy allergy, and I’ve eaten many, many, MANY dairy substitute foods for almost 2 decades. I was incredibly excited to try Kraft dairy free Mac and cheese, as I grew up eating the original blue and yellow box as a dairy eating child. This substitute is hands down, the worst dairy free Mac and cheese I’ve ever tasted. I canNOT believe that Kraft would produce such a flat and empty tasting product, when their original has such an amazing flavor. I ordered 2 boxes for my son at the same time that I bought my own. His opinion (without knowing my prior opinion) is the same as mine. It is awful. We both threw away our extra boxes. I will not repurchase Kraft; I’ll stick with Annie’s or Daiya df boxed Mac and cheese. Don’t waste your money.

Mid
Not bad, not great. Too sweet though. If you add a little mustard powder, hot sauce or whatever you like you won't notice it much if at all then. I am not vegan, I'm allergic to dairy. I'll try the white cheddar & see if that's better.Had a family member try it who eats the regular all the time (like 3-4x a week) & they said it was odd, cause they could catch the right flavor in the middle. The front end is way too sweet & the aftertaste is wrong. The middle notes were very close though. So take that for what you will. It's not true blue box proper if that's what you want (I think Annie's orange box is closest, but it's gonna depend on the milk & butter, you need something with some thickness). It's not the best m&c if that's what you want (although no one was buying the blue box for that), homemade is always gonna be best.Sorry for the novel, but m&c is the one of 3 thing I've been hunting for for years to be perfect & I still don't have one I think hits the bill yet.

Tastes Great
This plant based mac and cheese is so good. I've tried a lot of mac and cheese substitutes over the years, and most of them don't taste great. I think this one is really good. It's a white cheddar version, so it doesn't taste like the way I remember the original Kraft mac and cheese tasting, but it is yummy.I made it using lactose-free, but not non-dairy products, but it can be made using whatevertype of non-dairy milk and butter you are comfortable with.If you make it using a non-dairy milk that is sweet, you may not like the taste as much.I saw a couple reviews complaining about the price. I personally think it is very reasonable for a plant based, no dairy product that works for vegans, lactose-free and dairy free diets. Most of the time any specialty foods are much more expensive. As someone who hasn't had the original Kraft mac and cheese for years, it was a fun treat!
