Good for housing electrics but tight fit for UK adapters
I have given this product 4 out of 5 stars as it is a good electrical box as it is strong box, with latches, and can be used to tidy leads or house electrics, plus it is water resistant (but not watertight). However, this probably needs to be slightly bigger for UK extension leads and adapters as it is a tight fit. You can fit a UK three-way extension lead in here if it is small enough, two-way extension leads fits easily. but I can be a tight fit if you have over sized plugs / adaptors due to the usable internal dimensions of the box (approx. W 252mm x H 100mm x D 100mm).Pros:- Strong.- Latches are good feature.- Water resistant enough for rain but not watertight.- Great for housing electrics.Cons:- Tight fit for UK extension leads and adaptors.

Ok - not completely waterproof
This box is described as being “Waterproof” but the IP rating is X4 which means…Solid particle protection: X = “Unknown”Liquid ingress protection: 4 = “Splashing of water”Based on the rating that is given in the product manual, this box is not Waterproof, it is only “splash resistant”. The design of this box is such that rain should not penetrate the box as long as it is resting on a level ground. The lid has a double lip which means water can’t get under the lid, it would drip down the outside of the box.The box has 4 holes in the side for cables with have sponge surrounds that close around the cables when the box is closed. One hole is for the power in cable, three holes for power out cables, a total of three devices could be plugged in. However, if you only have 1 device plugged in, there are two holes exposed in the side of the box and if there was a spray onto the side of the box, water would get in. Likewise, if your cable is less than 5mm diameter, water will get in.The box is made of plastic, but it isn’t strong enough to stand on. The product image shows a foot on it with the words “Heavy duty plastic” but I would describe this as flexible plastic, it’s quite soft, you can easily bend it.The box doesn’t have any fixings, lugs or brackets, you can’t fix it down, it just rests on the ground. In summary, this would be OK for temporary use if you wanted to power something outside. It would be OK in a light rain shower, I wouldn’t use it for a permanent installation, and it really is not waterproof.

Good solid box, but designed for smaller American plugs
This is a very solid plastic, waterproof box which has so far not let a drop of the miserable rain in - so 10/10 for that. The main problem I have with this box is that I guess it was designed for American size extension plugs and plugs units. American plugs are much smaller (and in my opinion not as safe as our trusty UK solid plugs). There is very little space to fit some of these garden lights / Christmas light plugs which stick right out. You need to angle the extension lead/plug and the garden light plug at an angle to make them fit.Other than the potential size problem, the box is reasonably priced and keeps your bits dry.

Needs to be bigger
Three-gang extension leads seem a bit of an oddity in the UK with most manufacturers preferring one, two and four-gang options. This box is compact and sturdy but with just one line-in and three line-outs you need a three-gang extension to make the most of it.Cables run through channeled rubber blocks in the box and similar blocks in the lid then sandwich them providing a water-resistant but not waterproof seal.Leaving any of the outputs unused leaves an open hole but fortunately, you can remove the blocks in the lid and base and flip them so the flat ends meet rather than the ends with the channels in thus reducing the risk of water ingress (see the images). The lid gives a little protection to the cable entry/exit points but I would have preferred it to overlap a little to give more cover from driving rain. The rating quoted is just IPX4 which covers "splashes of water from all directions"Clearly made for a market where plugs and sockets are more compact, and where the weather may be more favourable, these are fine for small extensions and for summer or fair-weather use but I wouldn't want it outside in a typical British winter so it won't be powering my Christmas decorations.
