I bought a Bird Buddy for my wife after seeing it on a weekly show and watching the founder of the product talk about its performance and fun. This was the most exciting and appreciated purchase for a present I have made for my wife in many years and she loves watching the birds at our feeders. She says it has become the gift that keeps on giving joy all through the year because we get to see many of the birds up close at the feeder with the camera and it even has sound to hear the birds chattering. Setting it up was very straight forward with clear directions and linking it to our internet WiFi well described with pictures. I bought the optional bird buddy with the solar panel so I don't have to go out in the upstate NY winters and also purchased the optional perch that simply gets screwed on the Bird Buddy to allow birds to land on for great pictures. Our Bird Buddy uses the hangar to hang in the air around other feeders to get a great view of what birds are around and the use of the APP allows you to gain knowledge of the birds that are landing and feeding at the feeder giving an opportunity to learn more about different species. I have also contacted their customer service and get excellent response details and time frames. Last of all, spending some time with our grand kids they love to see the technology in use and enjoy looking up the different birds that visit in books we have for bird watching with us for educational purposes. I would 100% recommend this product fully for all year fun, bird watching parties and educational enjoyment too.

The size works well to get the birds to line up with the camera. I like that it doesn’t take away the ability to use other accessories like the knock off brands. This one snaps onto the sides instead of having to use the accessory holes. Also the color goes well with the bird buddy.

This perch is a MUST for the Bird Buddy! It gives the larger birds a place to stand while they eat and provides a waiting spot for smaller birds to take turns. It was easy to install on the base of the feeder and really does add to the bird watching experience. Love it!

I bought the extender to allow for larger birds to perch and attract to my feeder. It definitely works because now all he get is starlings and blackbirds

Nothing bad to say about this. Easy to install and very sturdy. Great purchase. Allows for more birds and a few bigger ones. If that’s what your aim is. Matches the original feeder perfectly.

The only minor negative is that it is not exactly the same material as the original Bird Buddy house. The color matches very closely, however, the original ABS plastic has tiny white flecks whereas the new perch is solid blue.
