Cold steel does some good stuff! This knife is great. Smooth operation and full sized! It also came sharper than most knives, I have no way of verifying, but it appears to have a steeper angle on the edge, which I do like :)

This is an excellent knife for edc the aus10a steel is fantastic for edge retention and the flat blade makes matnince a sinch, the atlas lock this blade comes with offers several modes of opening in any hand with one had but word of caution the lock is a little low on the handle so adding a bit of Paracord at the bottom will give you a little more grip at a safe distance from the closing blade, as with all cold steel knives it was razor sharp out of the box and sturdy as a tank in every way, the angle on the blade allows you to grab it with a pencil kinda grip and you could easily use this like a exacto yet it's sturdy enough for a little timbering I Love It and I'm sure you will too

I love this knife, the blade shape, the fit & finish, Cold Steel's new Atlas lock is fantastic, it's beefy and tough, and the blade takes an exquisite edge...the standout feature is the new Atlas lock, I hope Cold Steel makes a lot more models with this locking system.

I have a BUNCH of Cold Steel knives, more than a normal person should. Like this one carry it alot, a few dings, the blade can be locked by just a flick of the wrist. The lock is solid, but the blade will swing out if you release a little pressure on the lock. Almost cut myself once or twice because of that. The handle is not textured and might become a bit slippery when wet. Besides that a good solid knife.

If you are a Cold Steel fan you need this one! The Karve is thicker and heavier than it looks but in a good way. Also doesn't look like a 15$ gas station knife like some of the others. Well worth the price.

This knife lives up to the expectation when it comes to Cold Steel. The knife is hefty, some might say overbuilt. It is definitely adequate for hard use. For EDC it might be just a tad too much. At almost 6.5 ounces it is rather heavy for just tooling around town and maybe breaking down boxes, but that goes back to it being build for hard use.My only real gripe is that the detent (at least on the one I received) was very weak. So weak that the knife pretty much falls open. Any fast movement or probably even dropping the knife will result in it opening. In fact, I had it come open twice just while taking it out my pocket. That is just something I am not comfortable with. Unfortunately that is a deal breaker for me. I just don’t consider that safe. Otherwise, it was sharp and seemed like it was made for hard use. The seller was great, it was just this knife in particular.
