Charging is garbage
This thing is great other than charging feature it is absolute garbage Im pretty sure in drains my battery instead of charging it

Suction is great and charges just fine.
I bought 2 of these. Both work very well. Both charge my phone with or without my case on.One is mounted low on my dash of my f250 and I was worried with the bouncing of the suspension (its lifted) the suction would release. Actually it holds with no problemThe other is in a weird spot on my firebird. I had to mount the suction on the side of a loose center console. The way i had to mount it allowed the arm is slowly rotate downwards with the weight of the phone. I did modify the suction bracket by removing the screws and putting longer screws so they would actually thread into the console. Works fantastic.

I Have This By My Bed To Charge My Phone At Night
I've had this thing for over a year and had to come back and report how much I LOVE it. I initially got it for my car but when I tested it out when it arrived I realized it was perfect for using to charge my phone at night by my bed. It holds the phone at an angle where I can see if it I hear a notification of a text (usually my daughter, so I want to pick it up) and I can use the phone like a clock to tell time.It's easy to set up, the suction thing is a BEAST (many items I've had with suction cups don't hold) and it's easy to get the phone in and out without a fuss. Charging time is comparable to all my other charging units (Portable charging banks, wall plug-in adapters, etc) Photo included showing my phone case in it as I'm using the phone to do the photo for the review. (FYI you have to take the phone out of the case to charge.)
