Nice Seat, Lightning Bolt Easy to Remove
I bought this seat to replace a "Shot Gun II" seat that was yellow and didn't match my bike. The size and shape is very similar. This seat is made by Velo (good company), and I also bought a black Velo upper seat clamp because this is a bare seat. The plastic seems brittle compared to my old seat, so will update if it cracks. I see another reviewer had a crack, but my seat is not cracked at the moment, and we shall see how it holds up to some riding. I will update this review if there are any issues. As you can see in the photos, I removed the white lighting bolt with some acetone nail polish remover and a cotton ball. Make sure to work quickly, and wipe up afterwards with a wet paper towel, because acetone can damage plastic. Working quickly, and applying gentle pressure, the lighting bolt came off in about 15 seconds total. Then wipe the plastic with a paper towel dampened with water. There is zero damage, the plastic is still shiny. The size and shape is a good replacement for the "Shot Gun II" seat, which sells for a fortune online. I just need a seat so I can ride. Happy riding 👍

Great blast from the past seat.
Sweet seat, brings me back to my BMX days in the 80’s and 90’s, more comfortable than my old seat, looks killer on my bike, and l have not used the bottle opener yet but it’s good to know it’s there when I need it.
