Samsung 32' C32F397FWN Curved Full-HD Monitor (Renewed)

I got this on a flash sale (refurb) for about $180 versus $260?I absolutely love it. I had a 23 inch gaming monitor, that I rarely used for actual gaming. This thing is awesome. It does have some issues however, but I gave it 5 stars for the bang for the buck.Cons: The blacks are bad. In very dark video, the blacks are rendered as 4 shades of black/grey and you get that splotchy mess. Not a big issue for most normal people, but videophiles will hate this. The video is great however as most movies don't have extended 'dark' sequences.The 1080p. It's a bit lower than needed for this monitor... the size is too small and it makes it on the verge of 'wtf did you do', however, it still presents very nicely and is very readable. I spend all my time on my computer watching videos and doing light text work on documents. I find this very easy, but for heavily intensive use of text program, I'd not recommend. It is highly adequate however and I love the large size. I'd equate this to having 'large' icons for programs to having 'small' icons. People have their preference. I'm 45 years old and I really like the larger size, but might prefer a smaller icon.Pros: It's frigging curved. It's cheap. It has a very good picture. Curved is awesome. It's like I'm in a movie theater. It is so much better than my 23 inch gaming monitor. Curved makes a world of difference. I almost feel like I'm in an IMAX theater.Video is very good, except for blacks. Text is easy to read, but don't sit TOO close or you might see some pixelation.Conclusion: For the average person who watches videos and does light document work, this is perfect. The size is amazing compared to a 23 inch screen. If you are a professional, this is not for you.Buy this nowsies!

I'm using this as a monitor for working during the pandemic. I have it hooked up to two different Mac laptops.Positives:* I bought this refurbished, but it looks brand new to me. I can't see a single blemish anywhere.* The price is right.* The curved screen is nice on the eyes. Generally, I don't have eyestrain using it and I'm very happy with the visual quality.* The resolution is perfectly good enough for software development and writing.Negatives:* The 1080 resolution is a little low and I would have liked a higher resolution. I was in two minds about whether or not to return it and get a higher resolution monitor, but I decided not to. Oddly, I think that was the right decision, because my eyes are less tired at the end of the day.* Single HDMI port, no speakers, no remote control.Overall:A good monitor for the money, but you need to be aware it's behind the curve on resolution and on features. You get what you pay for.

The monitor beat all of my expectations. I no longer notice the screen is curved after about 5 minutes. I actually prefer the curved screen. The picture is so clear and works great. I use it for my Xbox, Pc gaming, and to watch television in my college apartment. It works great. I was worried the 32” wouldn’t be big enough to see from my bed but it’s perfect! I wish it had two HDMI ports instead of 1 but that’s a small gripe. I have been looking for a monitor for months and this refurbished deal is great. Monitor is like new.Only issue I am having: About 50% of the time I turn my Xbox on with the controller the monitor will wake up with flickering lines. If I then my Xbox off and on again the flickering always stops. I’m wondering if it is a refresh rate issue between the monitor and my Xbox or a if I need to update the drivers on my monitor. TBD. Either way I love the monitor and will send it back to get a new one if I have to.

Preface: I purchased this monitor for work to use with text and spreadsheets. While it didn’t work for my use it is a very nice looking monitor with bright and vivid colors.This is surely not a high definition monitor by any means. Sitting with normal posture about 3 feet away I was able to read regular text at native resolution but the pixels are so large that it looks like the text is fuzzy.While it didn’t fit my needs for work I really wish I had been able to test this out with xbox or some steam games would probably work well for a budget gaming setup. As it has great color and range.What I enjoyed most about it were the controls and the overall look of the hardware. The base has a slender look and nice looking finish. The bezel is slim and in obtrousive. And the control on the back is easy and intuitive to use.
