I love the concept. It certainly does bring comfort. But you can't turn it off I wish they need to correct.Product was well put together and it's super cute!

Cute. Breathes and purrs. Sweet cat lays on your lap giving comfort. My young grandchildren love her and named her. This little cat gives the presence of a cat in my home.

The toy is neither cute nor functional. Fur is not soft and eyes of cat toy stay closed. No voice sounds and only a up and down breathing bump in the middle of a cat toy posed in a sleeping position. Cat toy does not look like real cat either. Altogether this is a very expensive and highly flawed design for a toy. Who would ever think that the only way to turn the cat toy breathing off would be to get a screw driver and remove the battery from the battery chamber??? Your child would be unable to stop the breathing movement and I personally think it is noisy as the movement mimicing breathing is noisy and can be heard from a distance of two yards away from where the toy cat is set. Also toy very expensive for limited function and flawed battery design chamber no permitting shut off of breathing movement. A waste of money.

This battery operated kitty was a blessing as my blind kitty had two "guide cats" that eventually died. The purring and heartbeat was so calming of a replacement of the real kitties. The batteries do last a full 8 hrs. before turning off and I didn't mind replenishing the batteries since my kitty loved it. He just passed on at age 18 on July 2, 2025. I am still keeping the battery operated kitty.

She is silent until you get your ear directly over her... then it sounds like really purring. She is delightful. Even my husband thought she was adorable. I have serious pet allergies and this seemed like a little comfort without the allergic reaction. I am surprised at how realistic it looks and feels. Now, you won't really want to "cuddle" her.... she is a bit stiff, particularly on the bottom. But you could hold her in your lap and pat her. She comes with a lovely pet bed, a wooden backed brush and the cardboard box she comes in converts into a pet carrier if you'd like. There is an adoption form to fill out if you'd like. She takes 1 D cell battery... and yes, the battery box is screwed down. There is a slight chemically odor when you first open it.. but it dissipates quickly. Didn't notice within a few hours of opening. I included a video so you can get a better feel for it. I feel like it was worth every penny! My 5 year old grandson is really enamored of her. He brushes her and coos to her that she is "sooo cute." So. That's worth it, right? It is oddly soothing to have it just sitting there... "breathing." I do wish there was an on and off switch and the quality would allow quiet, non mechanical sounds...and maybe softer so you could actually snuggle it.

We purchased this as a gift for someone who had just lost their "real" cat. It was an appreciated gift.
