My Dyson v8 vacuum
First: I've gotta say I've had Kirbys for the last 30 years. My back is extremely weak (from a surgery) and pushing the Kirby is not easy. Also, the long cord gets in the way constantly. I only vacuum maybe every 3 weeks. Maybe! Oh yeah, my Kirby is 22 lbs. Then my Kirby wasnt even picking up things when I did vacuum. "It needed a $200 service", so I started looking into Dyson vacuums, knowing they're high quality like Kirby. What I like about my Dyson v8, No cord, light weight and picks up dirt like a dream. I've had it 3 days and have vacuumed twice. Both times I emptied the container and it was full. Mostly of cat hair.Second: I've been putting off installing the thing you put on the wall for hanging the vacuum. Mostly because I don't have a drill to put the anchor into the drywall. So the attachments are just sitting on an end table , along with the vacuum propped up against the fridge. There are hangers on Amazon to purchase for hanging your attachments on, but once again you need a drill to install the anchor to the wall to hang the things. Also while scrolling through Amazon, I found other things to be able to hang the attachments on that I could purchase, actually many. These are stands that dont hang on the wall at all. They just stand upright to hang the vacuum and the attachments on one stand. Perfect! I'm excited to get one of those too! I made a GREAT choice in buying my Dyson v8. I highly recommend them!!

Amazing so far!
I bought this Dyson V8 stick vacuum after my Electrolux disappointed me after 1 year of gentle use on hardwood floors and area rugs. The retail price of both of these are comparable. I took a long time to shop for a new stick vacuum that will last with gentle daily use, unlike the Electrolux. So far this Dyson is amazing, well made, and cleans like a beast.I used this vacuum to clean my entire house on hardwood floors and both low pile area rugs and a large shag area rug. My house has three levels and I was able to deep clean my whole house, including vacuuming my furniture, and I still had 2 bars out of three on the battery. My Electrolux doesn't hold a candle to this. I would use the Electrolux and was out of battery in 20 minutes and had lug my upright around. This Dyson is more than adequate to use as a main vacuum and the suction power is impressive. This vacuum was very easy to assemble and is also light weight and easy to maneuver and carry up and down stairs. The latch locks on the attachments are sturdy and don't break off easily, unlike the Electrolux which broke a latch off in the first 2 weeks. I love the tangle free roller and the pet attachment, which makes my furniture look beautiful. The things I miss on this vacuum are, no dirt finding lights on the floor attachment, and the trigger style "on switch" needs to be held down while using. The dirt cup is also awkward to empty and doesn't come off, so you have to open the dirt cup door and pull up on the top of the dirt cup to empty it over the trash can, then pull out hair etc., which gets stuck inside. That said, the trigger style "on switch" is placed in a ergonomic position and doesn't cause any fatigue in my hand, so once I got used to it it isn't bad. I can also live without the dirt finding lights. The dirt cup is the only thing I would change about the design of the vacuum, but overall the pros far out weigh the cons and so far I'm loving this amazing stick vac. I also didn't want to drill holes in my wall for the charging port so I bought a stand for it that accommodates this vacuum and it hold all the tools too and doesn't look unsightly in my entryway. I highly recommend this vacuum. Don't let the bad reviews about battery life dissuade you from buying this. The price is great so go for it and buy it!

Powerful, good on carpet, hypoallergenic, good battery life, good price to performance ratio, quiet
An amazing vacuum with a lot of power for its size. I just upgraded from a generic Tineco that I'd had since 2021 and this is leaps and bounds better. This has a pre-motor filter that traps a whole lot of excess dust that would clog lower quality vacuums and also reduces the amount of dust that gets pushed back into the air, a problem with many vacuum brands. It works great on tile and linolium as well as 1/2 inch carpet. the beater bar really whips the carpet good and I was floored (no pun intended) when I vacuumed a clean room for a second time and the collection chamber started filling again as it worked another round of junk out of the carpet. Lots of fine fine fine grain dust is being pulled up which is great since I'm alergic to just about everything. I run a pretty clean house so discovering that this cleans better by a noticeable factor is very pleasing. The power on the "low" setting is more than enough and "high" is really just for an emergency deep clean. I haven't used it myself but all the video tests I researched showed 8-10 minutes of use out of "high". That's one thing I'll give the Tineco is that they appropriately labled it "turbo" which makes people think about it differently. Most people whining in these reviews saw "High" and assumed that is how the vacuum is meant to operate but it's not. It's meant for "low" at all times other than dire straights. In the normal "low" setting it gets 40+ minutes of power. I have about 850-900 sqft and it did all of it on 2/3rds of a battery with the last 1/3rd still in reserve. I also have not had any issues with long charging times. I roughly timed it at about 1 hour and 20 minutes. It's also noticeably quieter than my last vacuum. All in all an excellent tool with excellent performance, well worth the money. 10/10
