I purchased a cartag 2.0 for use in my campervan but had an issue whereby it would self arm after a short period of time which wasn't ideal when actually inside my van and would keep alarming. After discussing this with the Carlock team, I was sent a revised Carlock Tag that would stay disarmed whilst I was present in my campervan. The Tag worked normally when you moved away from your van allowing the system activate as it should. Communication with the team throughout was absolutely first class and I would highly recommend their products and after sales service.

Brilliant tag, but shame the plastic hole where the key goes through split and then completely snapped off in the end while on my car key so I had to buy a new one as the first one only lasted 3 months so £40 later

I'm a bit disappointed with this product, if I'm honest. Initial installation/pairing to the car lock device was simple enough, but it took a long time for the carlock to receive it's firmware update in order to be able to use the tag2.0. They say on the app that can take a couple of days to activate, but it was over 10 for me and in the end, I had to contact support to push the update through. Once the update came and it was working, I noticed some strange behaviour fairly quickly. Even though the tag2.0 was inside my house in a drawer with the car keys and the car parked 10 metres or so away from the house, it kept enabling and disabling the carlock multiple times- you can see it in the log, it would be enabled one minute and disabled the next, over and over. It shouldn't work from so far away- this is surely supposed to be a proximity thing- surely you should have to be almost next to the car for this to work- imagine if your keyless entry worked like this! Not great. The only way I found to stop this was to put the tag2.0 in a faraday pouch with the car key, which stopped this behaviour when the car was parked. For me, it also does the same thing, turning on and off multiple times even when you are driving and on occasions hasn't re-enabled the tracking after I've stopped and left the car. From reading other reviews, some others seem to have had this issue and others don't, so I don't know if it's perhaps faulty or not, but it is annoying for me as I like the carlock device and app. I've stopped using it and enable carlock manually again now because with this happening, it might remain disabled and I wouldn't realise it. Its a clever concept but disappointing result for me, unfortunately.

Following a few local car theft incidents, I decided to purchase this along with the OBD port Carlock and it's been fantastic! No longer need to stress if someone has been attempting to get in the car, and is made even simpler with this tag that automatically enables & disables the alarm. It does occasionally disable it if I'm just in range of my car, but I just move my keys & it works perfectly. Great investment 👌

I have used the Tag 1 and that was very good. The Tag 2 is even better, I have got four of these, one for each of our cars and my 1968 classic van. I just know it will work 100% on walking to or from my vehicles. Rather than having a loud alarm siren I just rely on Car-Lock as it let's me know if they are tampered with no matter where I am. These Tags are small and easy to fit almost anywhere.

Tut was es soll, allerdings bekomme ich manchmal wenn ich im Auto sitze eine Meldung, dass nun die Alarme wieder aktiviert sind und kurz danach wieder deaktiviert sind. Also sendet er wohl etwas zu schwach, bzw. kommt nicht durch die Karosserie durch. Luftlinie sind es evtl. 2m, natürlich durch sämtliche Metallschichten usw. vom Auto durch, aber normalerweise sollte alles deaktiviert sein, wenn ich in der Nähe des Autos bin und erst recht, wenn ich mich im Auto befinde. Update: Nach Batterietausch (war nichtmal 1 Jahr alt) läuft wieder alles perfekt. Der Support hat mir aufgrund der Rezension perfekt helfen können.

Ce dispositif est incroyablement fiable et facile à utiliser. La batterie longue durée, qui peut tenir jusqu'à un an, est un vrai plus. Je n'ai plus à m'inquiéter de changer constamment la pile tout les mois comme avec le précèdent model. Ce que j'apprécie le plus, c'est la réduction des fausses alertes. Avec le CARLOCK TAG 2.0, je reçois seulement des alertes pertinentes, ce qui me rassure énormément. Les alertes de sécurité automatiques basées sur la proximité fonctionnent parfaitement. Dès que je m'éloigne de ma voiture, je suis immédiatement informé si quelque chose ne va pas. Ce qui est nouveau c'est que si le badge ne détecte pas de mouvement il se met automatiquement en mode surveillance activé même si il est à 20 cm de la moto ou voiture. L'installation est simple et rapide. En quelques minutes, tout était prêt à fonctionner. Le Bluetooth se connecte sans problème et la fiabilité du dispositif est impressionnante. Je recommande vivement le CARLOCK à tous ceux qui cherchent à améliorer la sécurité de leur véhicule. C'est un excellent investissement pour une tranquillité d'esprit assurée et un prix vraiment raisonnable.

Ho acquistato il CarLock Tag prima versione in passato e questo 2.0 è la svolta. Sulla prima versione necessitava bluetooth e posizione sempre sul telefono, cose che spesso lascio disattivate per far durare di più la batteria durante l’utilizzo giornaliero creandomi spesso falsi allarmi. Questa nuova versione da applicare direttamente sulle chiavi della macchina è quello che cercavo. A distanza di pochi metri dalla macchina si disattivano i sensori senza la necessità di avere telefoni in tasca. Pratico, bello da vedere, funzionale e soprattutto comodo per chi ha un sistema CarLock in macchina.

The first one stopped working in 6 months. I had to buy a second one. Not happy!
