This thing is amazing!!! First, it is super easy to set up. It runs very quiet. And the air bubbles are adjustable with the air valve. I have a crawfish and struggle to keep his tank clean. The water gets so dirty in a matter of 2 weeks. It turns cloudy and green stuff starts growing on the glass of the tank. I bought this and it cleared the tank up in 2 days. I am about 1 month in and the water is still clear. 100% recommended!!!

So far, so good. Works exactly as described. I don't know that I have ever had crystal clear water like this before.As far as longevity goes, I will have to update after a month or two. Please note I didn't buy this intending to have it work the lifetime of my tank.Rather, as a crutch to help clear my algae bloom as I get the root causes under control. This product is not a substitute for good housekeeping practices.

This filter has been an absolute game changer for maintaining the health and clarity of my aquarium.First off, the pump works exceptionally well. I’ve noticed a significant improvement in the overall water quality since I started using this filter. It effectively removes debris and keeps the water moving, which is essential for my aquatic environment.One of the standout features of this filter is the UV sterilization. I can confidently say that it has kept my tank crystal clear! Ever since I added the Coospider Repta filter, I’ve noticed a significant reduction in algae growth and any suspended particles. The water looks vibrant and healthy, making it a joy to look at. My fish seem happier too, swimming around in such a pristine environment.Installation was straightforward, and the unit itself is compact enough to fit nicely in my tank without taking up too much space.Update 12/11/2024:The pump did its job great at first. However I noticed the flow had stopped from the pump. The motor has completely stopped working after only 4 months of use. No blockages or anything. We have always maintained and cleaned the unit per the instructions. I was really impressed while it was working as our tank was very pristine. But for the motor to stop working after only 4 months is a huge concern. I would advise to look elsewhere as this seems to be a dud.Update 12/14/2024.Customer service was prompt in returning my inquiry for support. I was notified a replacement unit will be sent out shortly. Will update accordingly.May 2025.We did receive a replacement unit. 4 months later it has already failed. The light has stopped working in only a few months. The second unit we had purchase the pump has failed. Two units and both failed in less than a few months. Huge disappointment. Absolutely do not recommend. Extreme poor quality.

Filter arrived fine with no issues. We've been struggling with green floating algae blooms and not matter what chemical mix or cleaning regimen we tried we couldn't beat it. Did some research and discovered that a uv light filter was what we needed. Did some looking around and settled on this one for price and good reviews. Plugged it in and you can see the before and after photos taken 7 days apart.The Good:The light and filter/pump are powered separately making it easy to control how long the uv light is on for each day with the rocker switch.Filter outflow comes with a diffuser to direct the water flow.Fits neatly in the corner.The Bad:No timer on the light switch. If you want a timer to auto control the uv light on time your need a smart plug or pay more for a model with a timer.Strong flow, while this moves a lot of water through it can overwhelm small fish, causing them to get stuck or swim in strong currents.Filter material can be a bit tricky to slide out and replace, pull the middle support while being careful of the bulb.Summary:Our first UV filter and overall very pleased with the results! Nothing beats a clear fish tank. It is a cheaper model but works great. I'll pair it with a smart plug to turn both the light and filter off when it's not needed. Guessing I only need to run it 3 hours a day or so. Gave it 4 stars only because of the difficult filter replacement process and no timer.If you struggle with algae in your water get a Uv filter!

I am pregnant so getting the buckets out for water changes was getting very difficult. I was fighting with algae from having a real planted tank as well as having it infront of a window and oh my god. 4 days with this filter and I’ve never seen clearer water!! Definitely recommend!!!

I was very skeptical when I bought this because I have tried everything to clear my tank water with not much success. But I am beyond impressed with this . Placed in the tank as soon as it arrived on Thursday and every day there was improvement by Tuesday morning it looks like I have done a full tank tear down and clean. I have never had a problem with algae like this in the past but after a complete clean in mid December somehow it became a problem. It did take a bit longer to clear than the 72 hours but it does say larger tanks can take longer and it is a 55 gallon. So true to their word my tank is now back to normal and my fish are much happier and healthier. It was well worth the money and does a great job . Buy this if you have an algae issue you will be glad you did!!!! The pictures are what my tank looked like on day 1 day 3 and finally day 5
