Crewel Creatures: Fresh ideas for Jacobean embroidery Paperback – 28 Mar. 2018

If the title hadn't been crewel I would have bought months ago. The book covers beading and embroidery along with alot more techniques , crewel to me is heavy wool yarn embroidery ie used on footstools in 70's . This book is absolutely stuffed full of well laid out techniques , maybe bit heavy for beginner but perfect support for textile art embellishment techniques for adding detail. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely book with some great projects in.

Not for a beginner

The one big disadvantage of this book is the designs have to be enlarged, and as I have no means or found anywhere near me to do this I’ve given the book away, disappointed as it’s a lovely book otherwise

I love this book, the patterns are so different, you will need to have some experience to do one of these, I am still a novice but inspired to have a go with on of these, working on easier projects in between, great buy, recommend

Gorgeous book, well illustrated and very good explanation for those not used to crewel work.

Have always been interested in how to do this the photos are great to follow as well as the instructions
