Money well spent on this little device!!
Amazing little device, we acquired a widescreen TV that wasn't "smart" and wanted to be able to watch Netflix, YouTube, and other subscription services on it. Couldn't be happier! This was super easy to set up and get going with. You just need a HDMI socket in your TV, and then a power socket (or USB in the TV) to connect the power. Easy enough to set up by connecting the internet, adding apps, etc. App selection was really easy and simple and got signed into all my accounts quickly. Old TV turned into a smart TV within the space of ten minutes! It's also much more affordable than the Fire stick which is perfect. I wasn't sure it'd be compatible with such an old TV but it absolutely was.Picture quality is good and no issues with streaming whatsoever. Also love how small it is, as you can take it with you if you're ever travelling and want to hook it up elsewhere. Worth every penny!

Rock on Roku!
Like wow! This has got to be one of my best investments - ever! In truth, I mainly bought it because I wanted to access Netflix via my old non-Smart 37in flat-screen Samsung TV. My TV does have the all important HDMI ports - so I had no problem hooking the Roku Express up to it. Prior to purchasing my Roku, I viewed some helpful online videos that each clearly demonstrated how easy it is to connect up the Roku device, and start enjoying the content available on Netflix, Disney+, BBC iplayer, prime video, Roku Channel, Nowtv, My5, Google Play, ITV HUB etc, etc.To be honest, the Roku box comes with a clear, easy-to-understand instruction booklet that even an old technophobe like myself could understand. Things to consider/have at hand prior to unboxing your Roku:1. Your wireless broadband password2. Have a spare standard USB mains adaptor at the ready - not a necessity, but a USB cable does come with your Roku, and means that you can start streaming faster because you'll have a constant power supply to the unit.3. Make sure you have a place to put your Roku where it will it will have a direct line of sight with your remote. An adhesive strip is supplied with the Roku - so you could affix it to the bottom of your TV.4. Batteries for the remote are included in the package, in addition to an HDMI lead and a USB cable.5. Make a note of the HDMI port you use (HDMI 1, 2, 3 etc). That will become your Roku source channel.Once you have connected everything up, you simply follow the instructions on your TV screen. I'm a bit slow, but had no issues with this process. It took me around 25 minutes to get everything up and running - but that's probably because I dithered when it came to thinking up passwords etc. All in all, it was a fairly stress- free experience. As I mentioned earlier, I purchased my Roku Express to mainly access Netflix. So part of the above procedure involved joining Netflix (I went for the basic £5.99 a month). I have to say that I wish I'd bought my Roku before the Lockdown, because there are just so many fantastic films and box set series to lose yourself in. I think it's great that I can now sit down and watch a film or drama anytime I want, and have no commercials or screen interruptions - and the streaming quality via the Roku box is superb. I celebrated my purchase by watching El Camino on Netflix, the feature film sequel to Breaking Bad - absolutely brilliant! Oh, and by the way, the remote allows you to easily pause, rewind or fast forward through anything you're watching. I'm just over the moon with this product and have no hesitation recommending it to you. Thanks for reading my review and happy viewing. 📺🎭🎬📽

Easy to set up, great price
Great product - easy to set up and turned my basic TV into a smart TV :) Also very reasonably priced. I've been able to add all the apps I need too. Would definitely recommend this!

Astonishing bit of kit for the size and price
Well I bought this just to see if I could upgrade my old TV to a smart TV. I wasn't expecting much at that price. When I saw the size of it I assumed I'd just bought a Wifi receiver/streaming extender that was needed in conjunction another set-top box. So when I powered it up to find a fully fledged operating system (stand-alone device with a ton of apps, streaming services and games) it was then I understood why these have rave reviews.OK - I guess it's not your Amazon fire stick or your Google Chromecast but at that price I don't really care. It still does 95% of what they do as far as streaming all major channels and apps.I'm new to streaming services (other than through my tablet) so was a bit unsure of Roku, as a brand I'd never really heard of. To be honest I'm not a big consumer of streaming services anyway, so just wanted something for the odd movie or catch up on missed episodes. I had a good play around on top of the advertised products I found it supports Spotify, BT Sport, Now TV and Google Photos too... and hundreds more I'd never even heard of.I downloaded the app on my phone and that makes entering details for setting it all up a breeze. It's nice and simple and allows a small amount of customisation (would still like to lock more down from the main home page so meddling kids can't mess) but adequate parental controls. Adding other services was very straight forward as I was already signed up to most major ones anyway. Was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the voice control on the app. It picked up a sports channel dedicated to a certain football club, which I wasn't expecting to even find on there as an app - I was looking for something else but that popped up in the results as a bonus. My only criticism - and this probably applies to all these types of devices... is I'd like to be able to filter out anything from a certain provider (I'll never use Apple TV so would prefer it not to come up in results) or where it isn't available... what is the point in following something which isn't available to watch??In short - does exactly what I wanted. Small, low powered and done everything very well with no glitches. If I have one minor criticism it's that the time switching between service could be a tad faster... it's not slow, but it's certainly not instant either. But hey...for that price!!??

Nice little device
bought it as cheaper than the fire tv stick, however the fact that did not allow me to control my tv volume made me return it. I did love its functionalities, reliable connectivity, nice picture quality. Great compatibility with my Sony Bravia smart tv, that turned out to be not so smart, hence the need of an external streaming device. All in all, if you are not looking to have only one remote I would recommend it.

Happy with the device
Came packaged well with everything u need. Easy to set up and now my basic TV is a smart TV, only gripe is would be good if the remote had volume controls but no biggie, its cheaper than a firestick and i feel better quality no buffering so far
