Q: Where are these made? In China?

The materials are made with imported blades from Japan and are then crafted in a state-of-the-art facility within YangJing, China (a city renowned for knife crafting for nearly 1500 years) using imported Takefu Japanese AUS-10 super steel. The blades have been specially heat treated, cold-rolled and annealed to reveal the unique layered pattern. Our expert knife makers under the supervision of the head foreman (who has been trained for over 40 years in Japanese knife making) spend multiple days on each knife, polishing the blades and handle then hand finishing and sharpening the blades. We also use special processes such as Cryo-tempering which drastically improves the steels crystalline structure (making them much stronger). Our aim is to provide top line chef quality knives at an affordable price.

The Facebook ad is about our Classic Damascus Chef's Knife that has 67 layers while this Kasai Series in Amazon is a different knife because it has 45 layers and we used imported Takefu Japanese AUS-10 super steel. The blades also have been specially heat treated, cold-rolled and annealed to reveal the unique layered pattern. We even use special processes such as Cryo-tempering which drastically improves the steels crystalline structure (making them much stronger). Thanks for your time. Have a great one!
