I replaced my older non-stick pans with cast iron to reduce PFAS in my kitchen. I used the flat pan for pancakes for the first time with a silicone cooking utensils and it was surprisingly easy - non-stick quality is great, the size of the flat griddle was awesome for pancakes on a gas stove which didn't burn, and the pan didn't scratch and was easy to clean with water. This seems like a very basic set of cookware and will likely suit all my non-stick cooking needs. It's great that they came pre-seasoned; I didn't notice any water spots or corrosion after cleaning. They are heavier than traditional metal pans, but that's expected.

Before purchasing I read quite a few reviews. There's many brands, many sets, and many prices. I was looking for simple, affordable, and at LEAST fair quality. These mark all 3. I read some reviews about these pans not being seasoned. While I believe they are pre-seasoned, I still washed and seasoned them myself. I recently made steaks and was firstly impressed by how well it was cooking. You can tell the thicker cast-iron distributes heat evenly. These are heavy, so if you're someone that can't easily lift a few pounds, this might not be for you. I did alot of research on how to clean cast-iron, as so many people warn about using soap. From my understanding soap was only terrible for cast-iron when soaps contained lye in them. Dawn dish soap does not contain lye and is said to safe to use, but drying after washing is essential. And you can season your pan if you feel dish soap does strip the seasoning. Overall, I'm happy with my new cast-iron set!

Ya habia comprado sartenes de este tipo, aun mas pesados y grandes, por lo cual decidi adquirir estos para el uso diario. Los recomiendo totalmente, pero no son para todos. Lo primero que deben saber es aue hay ciertos pasos que se deben dar ANTES de comenzar a usarlos. Ademas, si planeas usarlos para el diario como yo, tambien debes saber que el cuidado no es como con otro tipo de sartenes comerciales; es mas complicado. En otras reseñas lei comentarios negativos por el peso y como no podias tocarlos por el mango por el calor, lo que me deja claro que los compradores no tenian una idea general de lo que seria tener sartenes de Fierro Vaciado. EN RESUMEN: si ya tienes una nocion de lo que significa usar este tipo de sartenes, o ya haz tenido, esta es una buena opcion economica para ti; si eres primerizo y quieres entrar al mundo de estos sartenes, esta es una buena opcion para iniciar. PERO si quieres un juego de sartenes para el diario y no quieres dar todos los pasos extra que el uso de estos sartenes conlleva, te recomiendo una opcion mas comercial.

Really like these pans. Solid, heavy, well-made, and excellent value for money. People say they rust, but all cast iron pans will if they're not properly cared for after use. Look after them and I have little doubt these will last for many years.
