Convert digital coax output to optical easily to connect a soundbar to TV
This is a great little product allows use of a soundbar with optical input with a TV/DVD with a phono digital output.Powered by USB, plug and play, the only drawback I have found is with my cheapo soundbar there is a short burst of white noise when changing sound modes. otherwise OK.

Perfect solution for legacy amps
I have a legacy amplifier with an optical input but no digital coaxial input, and was struggling to find a solution. This lead is the perfect remedy, converting the coaxial signal from the blu ray player to optical. Most modern DVD and blu ray player only have coaxial outputs, so more and more users will be relying on adapters like this one. This works a dream, is well made, and I could not recommend it more highly.

Handy little converter
This is very useful if you have a device with a coaxial digital output but an amplifier with an optical digital input. It comes with a USB-A to barrel jack cable to supply the 5V it requires to operate. All you need to do is connect it to a USB-A supply along with the audio input and output. It immediately starts working flawlessly.Note it supports LPCM2.0/DTS/Dolby AC3/5.1CH Audio but not DTS-HD and Dolby-TruHD. I believe the digital audio specification does not support a high enough data rate for the latter two.The price of £11.99 is OK although it is only contained in a plastic case. I deducted one star because both the coax digital input and the optical digital output use captive cables approximately 1m long. I would prefer to see sockets for both input and output so you can provide a cable of the correct length. The listing even states it supports up to 10m coax input and 30m optical output. Without this limitation, I would have rated it five stars.
