Definitely kills the fly with one swat, but in an aggressive way!
Zaps very strong! It is definitely noisy when it kills the fly. I would make sure it stays somewhere safe since the energy is strong.

It’s like I’m at Wimbledon!
Ok so, fruit flies are a pain. They are small and multiply quick! I’ve bought those things that plug in the wall and attract with light….not good enough though. I’m not saying that I had an infestation, but I had enough. Not only will you think you’re a famous tennis star, but if you’re not use to swinging anything in your arms, it’s a work out. Is it humane? Nah, but I’m not worry about being humane when I’m riding an invasive headache. You put batteries in it and only activate by pressing a button. Just remember though, when zapping, you have to clean up those little buggers after.

Goodbye flies!
I needed a fly swatter, but I decided to upgrade to a zapper as multiple bugs buzzed over my head and I was fed up with it. I immediately unboxed and popped some batteries in. There was a weak fizzle with every bug caught in it's meshing, so I was satisfied.Fast forward a month later, and my boyfriend puts some new batteries in. Suddenly, I hear a loud POP! from the office. Either the zapper needed some time to charge up or the batteries I originally put in were weak, but regardless there was new life in the swatter. He spent the next hour hunting down every last bug with a cheerful chuckle after each pop.I recommend this zapper because it is both efficient and entertaining. I also recommend letting your kids or boyfriends use it for hours of amusement.

Works great
The fly swatted is easy to use and works great. The sound scared my dog as it zapped the bugs though.

Fun to Swat, but NOT Worth the Buy
Initially I would’ve given this a 5 star review, however I’m glad I waited. As I’ve been using this product it’s been insanely satisfying to hear that popping zap sound as you make contact with the dang flies, but the fruit fly problem I have been dealing with (yes it’s STILL on-going although I’ve purchased this product 2/19/25 and it is now 4/4/25) seems like this device does NOT have enough juice to “Zap To Kill” - it’s more like “Zap To Stun”.This realization came when I began to realize that I was NOT seeing little black bodies laying around on the countertop after a good workout sesh, but noticed an ABSENCE thereof. Then I thought “maybe they’re obliterated into a million pieces!”, but alas, there are no bodies to wipe off from the swatter.Perhaps I have a bad one that just doesn’t have enough killing power, but for me - 2 months later, I am NOT seeing a dint in their numbers. This also includes a light wall trap, the vinegar and soap trap, this swatter trap, and a COMPLETE absence of food and twice daily wipe down of surfaces.

Zap doesn't appear to be as strong as others...
This works like others, except I don't think electric charge is as strong. I love swatting the big carpenter bees (so satisfying), but it doesn't seem to rain them with the shock as much as swatting them in general stuns them. I had another brand that did a much better job. Seems to work fine for smaller insects though.

Gone!
Works perfectly and is a godsend in getting rid of nasty little flying critters!
