I bought this 16 terabyte hard drive to use with my Reolink home hub, and it has been an excellent investment. I have several high-resolution cameras recording continuously, and this drive handles the load without any issues. The storage space is impressive. I’ve been recording for weeks and still have plenty of room left. It gives me peace of mind knowing I can keep high-quality footage for a long time without constantly managing or deleting files. One thing I really appreciate is how quiet it is. Even with the drive running nonstop inside the Reolink hub, I barely notice it’s there. No distracting spinning noises or mechanical sounds. It just quietly does its job in the background. That kind of silent performance makes a big difference in a home setup where noise can be distracting. The drive also keeps up with the data transfer demands of multiple camera streams. Everything runs smoothly and efficiently, which is exactly what you want in a surveillance setup. I haven’t had to think twice about whether it can keep up. If you are using a Reolink hub or any other home surveillance system and want a reliable, high-capacity hard drive, I highly recommend this one. It offers plenty of space, dependable performance, and silent operation. It just works.

I have always found Toshiba to be exceptional. They are durable, quiet, and a good value. This drive has performed well, without incident. I highly recommend Toshiba drives. I have always been happy with them and their quality. I have had a couple of drives from other companies fail, but Toshiba keeps on going. I needed an enterprise drive at one point that I could hear the drive sometimes, but that was an enterprise drive, so I expected that. The desktop drives are quiet.

This Toshiba X300 8TB internal hard drive is seriously impressive. Right out of the box, it feels solid and well-built, exactly what you'd hope for in a high-performance component. It's clear this drive is designed with demanding use in mind, living up to that 5-star expectation for quality and reliability. Using this internal hard drive has been a smooth experience. It's been absolutely perfect for gaming storage, handling a huge library of games with ease thanks to that massive 8TB capacity and fast 7200 RPM speed. Load times are quick, and everything feels responsive. Couldn't be happier with its performance.

Installation was quick in a Dell Precision 5810 workstation. Of course, Dell makes it easy to swap out the first two HDs or SSDs. This disk will have to house a clean install of Windows 10, necessitated by the failure of the 10-year-old original drive. That will give me a few more years of use. My usage case doesn't justify an SSD and I'm not touching the newest version-of-Windows-that-shall-not-be-named.

Product arrived on time and it was very well packed. It works pretty good.

This high quality reliable drive is just what a photographer needs to gather, sort and archive years of photos and videos on one drive. Toshiba makes a great product at a competitive price.

Really would NOT reccomend this drive. Booted it up about 3times, and the 4th time the drive died and I can no longer access my data. 200$ down the drain. I would reccomend a different brand.

Very satisfied with this replacement main drive. It is noisy with my desktop at eye level. But not enough to be a problem. It is very fast with loading large files. Strange though there were not any locking screws supplied so if this an additional drive you may need 4 locking screws unless you already have a set.

22 TB model. Very noisy clicks when sitting on desktop in container (OWC miniStack STX). Noisy anywhere in entire room. Loud enough to wake most people. No comparison to drives in old computer tower which are quiet (4TB or less). Otherwise, works fine.

Drive failed just 1 day after the return window closed. "Chkdsk was executed in scan mode on a volume snapshot. Checking file system on F: The shadow copy provider had an error. Check the System and Application event logs for more information. A snapshot error occured while scanning this drive. You can try again, but if this problem persists, run an offline scan and fix. Offline scan and fix did not work. Edit: Amazon came through for me and authorized a return and full refund.
