Finally!! Five years to find a dog food heâll eat!
Iâve tried expensive shipped âreal food, basted and baked, several âhealthierâ (meaning very expensive!) dog food brands, even made my own dog food, but my dog only eats to live. Some days he will flat out refuse to eat. Heâs only 8 pounds and heâs super active. (Iâve had to learn to throw with my left arm because this dog does lives to catch a ball and my right arm wears out before he ever does!) Which means he burns calories like crazy. Iâve had to keep him on puppy food for extra calories!Nutra Complete Freeze Dried Raw Food was my last stand, I hated the idea of spending this much money on one pound net weightâŠbut! He loves this. Iâm floored. These light brown nuggets are a little smaller than a cube of cheese, some will crush with pressure, but seem to take on a more spongy consistency, similar to a packing peanut, after being opened for several daysâitâs humid here.Definitely not a hard, brittle, or crunchy texture. So nice because I didn't recieve a half a bag of crushed pellets and dust in the mail. The only thing my dog will eat and eat, is freeze dried liver. If it was healthy enough for him to live on alone, that would be great, but by itself, there isnât a proper balance of nutrition, so no go. But when he wonât eat for 2 days straight, walking over to his bowl, sniffing and walking away, there were times I considered giving him a bowl of freeze dried liver just for calorieâs sake!!Never seen anything like it! This dog just doesnât like to eat food with the exception of pepperoni and croissants. And like that is anything on the healthy side. Even I donât eat that but every few months or so.Iâve made him ground beef, ground chicken, ground turkey/-with rice and organic vegetables, and after the first feeding, he wonât eat it unless I sprinkle it with grated cheese, just a pinch and then, nope. Heâs killing me Smalls!!He doesnât like dog food of any kind and only breaks down and eats it when he realizes Iâm not going to give in. Until now. And while this is liver too, it contains another organ meat, kelp, and various orange and green vegetables, plus blueberries which I have a hard time getting him to eat âthey contain a lot of phytonutrients and anti oxidants. I also like the addition of cranberries because of the d-mannose.Heâd eat a whole bowl of Nutra Complete dry if Iâd let him, but I like the idea of hydrating it because I put extra water in the bowl. After he eats the food, he drinks all the water, which is great because this dog is half horse. (Or camel!) I worry about him eating and drinking. Especially after weâve played outside in the Florida heat! And yes, Iâve literally walked the water bowl over to him in his chair just so heâll drink. My grandkids cause me less worry!! And yes, sadly, I am well trained. đ©Unless I find legitimate information contradicting the health benefits of this particular brand, Iâll be budgeting for this regularly. Weâll see how long a 1# bag lastsâŠprobably wonât be any more expensive than bag after bag of food he refuses to eat.I keep some in his treat jar and he eats them with gusto.Omgoodness! He heard me handling the bag when I made sure my info was right and he came running in from outsideâhow can you resist that face, dirty as it is?! When heâs on his back legs like that, heâs waving his paws up and down begging. Little runt! Stuck his head right in the bag when I wanted to take a picture of the nuggets! Too funny!Yep, itâs a keeper. So easy, I dump it into Luke warm water, let it sit, then he comes right over and eats it, all the left over water too.(And his poop didnât go ballistic changing over either, not surprising since he has never had the same dog food for any extended period of time.)So this poor, old, lady is more than happy to pay for quality nutrition that isnât going to cause joint pain and inflammation, contain known carcinogens or dyes, and that my dog will actually eat! This stuff is going to pay for itself in restoring my mental healthâwho would have ever thunk it? A dog that doesnât like to eat?! Cute little bugger breaking all kinds of norms! Ha ha! Thatâs my fur baby!

This is by far our dog's new favorite food!
So I saw this and thought we'd give it a try. Our dog is just past 2.5 yrs old, and we've given him different foods over time (without immediately swapping brands rapidly to prevent digestive issue). For whatever reason his eating habits are somewhat inconsistent. Sometimes a correctly portioned bowl will still be there when I go to refill it. As much as half of what I feed him will typically end up sitting there although it's usually quite a bit less than that. Basically we feed him once a day to give him the time he needs to eat his food which typically runs into the following day. Changing portions to multiple feedings at smaller portions throughout the day didn't change the fact that food still remained once the next feeding time hit. Additionally the food recommended by the breeder we got him from seemed to be really bad with this issue as one bowel would last way too long and sometimes he'd finally eat it but get sick from either eating to fast or not chewing well. I asked our vet who recommended to gradually change the brand to something higher quality, so I did and fairly quickly I found the brand that seemed to be the best for him.. or so I thought.. a little over a year and the brand that he's been eating is still going strong compared to the past, but our dog has still been quite a bit inconsistent and even continued to have digestive issue although rarely now. Anyways, I saw this brand and I felt really good about it the first time I prepped it. Seconds after I opened the bag and started the process of pouring the recommended portions of food and warm water together so they could sit as instructed.. out he comes and the first thing I notice is he's sniffing around with his nose sticking up in the air as if he's investigating what new wonderful scent has just made its presence known to him. He has never done that before, so I took it as a great sign that the food would be perfect for him based on the smell alone which got his attention so quickly which is weird bc for humans or at least my wife and I, the smell is kinda off putting. Anyways I mixed the bowl together with half a portion of his regular food and went to put it down in his room where he eats. He actually followed right behind me very excitedly. After I sat it down and watched him begin to dig in, I left and about a minute or two after he came out. I wondered if he'd decided he didn't like it and went to check. What I found was his bowl completely licked clean and that fast too. I decided to try it for a week before writing anything on this in case something changed.. bc it has before.. anyways.. now when feeding time comes he's right there patiently waiting for it and literally licking his lips (or flews? I think they're called.. had to look it up). Anyways not a feeding has gone by that ended with a different outcome and a bowl of food demolished. I had initial concern the fast eating could cause an upset stomach or make him sick, but that hasn't been the case either. Anyways this food has been great so far for him and I've already ordered and recieved another bag. The only issue.. if you want to call it that.. might be price. Costing nearly $40 bucks can easily get expensive especially if you're feeding large dogs or even multiple medium sized dogs similar to ours. Weighing 43lbs and following the guide in the instructions led to a single bag of this lasting less than a week and that's including mixing it in with his normal food at a smaller portion. Anyways in the end the cost of his wellbeing heavily outweighs the cost of the product itself which is why I ordered more and intend to continue doing so. Anyone having issues with feeding or interested in a quality product like this one should def try it. We're very happy we did.

Even a picky eater likes it
I have a pit bull/English boxer mix, and of all the dogs we've ever had, she is the pickiest eater. I cannot say how many different dog foods we have tried. And she has not liked any of them. Most of the time all she wants are the Blue Dog baked treats. Knowing she needs better nutrition, I purchased this but with a bit of skepticism. To my utter shock, she is eating it! It took a few times trying, but she seems to like it. I am so thankful to have found something she will eat especially one with premium ingredients and a healthy blend. Thank you, Nutra Complete!

Ate well at first then quit.
My dog ate this food really well the first time I served it to him. Now he will only nibble at it. A couple of pieces when he walks by. It smells really good to me and the ingredients are most of what he likes. He has done this same pattern with 4 other foods.

Excellent Dog Food
I have a year old Chiweenie that was one of the pickiest eaters I've ever seen. I tried multiple different brands and she would barely eat any of them. I ordered a sample bag of this, and she loved it. Took the bag on the next vet trip, and the vet said this would be great for her. I do give her a teaspoon of either green beans or sweet potato for a bit more fiber per day. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it. đ

Delicious, Nutritious and Healthy for picky eaters
We just received the Turkey Reduced calorie food; and my spoiled girl brat, Khaleesi loves it!! When she smelled the bag, she started to scratch at the bag. She uses FluentPet buttons and asked for âfoodâ. The size and texture are easy for her chew, she couldnât wait, she ate them dry. I love the ingredients list and that it will help her eat less calories. We will be canceling our subscription to the other âsuperfoodâ.
