A great book- that shows how a little boy creates adventures to get out of school... but there's a good little twist at the end. The pages open up length ways and shows each part as a letter and there's even a telegram! I love this book!

A really lovely book that I used for letter writing in year 2.

I used this book with a P1-3 class to get us started with writing letters.The class found it absolutely hilarious and loved guessing what the next excuse was going to be.It's a beautifully illustrated, fun and creative book.It's a thumbs up from us!

A fantastic story which has been loved by all the children I've read it to (from ages 4 to 11), As a supply teacher it has also been a good starting point for 'off the cuff' lessons. Also buy Dear Santa if you haven't already - hilarious.

Bought for English unit on writing letters. Ideal for modelling letter writing and children are engaged with it.
