Works wellHolds the phone tight, and mounts to the cup holder tight. The only drawback is that on a not so smooth road it shakes alot, which is annoying. If it wasn't for that I would have given 5 stars

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is the easiest phone holder ever. It does not slide at all. It's doesn't block your view it's adjustable in height and it's so convenient to use. To prevent from someone breaking into your car to steal your phone holders you can easily put this one in your trunk.

This is perfect for Lyft and similar drivers. It's removable and doesn't block your view of the road. It's very stable and fits any cup holder.

Here is how to easily install this cup phone mount without damage to the mount. First do not try to snap your phone holder in place over the ball with the nut attached as you may break the mount. To attach your phone holder to the knob on the mount remove the plastic compression nut all the way. Put the nut over the knob with the threads facing out. Now take the phone holder and gently place the hole formed by the four curved pieces of plastic on the knob. It should go on easily and actually snap in place. Now you can screw the nut over the threads without backing the holder off the knob. Next put holder in cup holder but do not secure in place. Loosen the large plastic wing nut and extend your holder to a position where you want your phone to be. Tighten first the nut on the pack of phone holder so that you have the angle you want. Next tighten the large plastic wing nut to secure the phone in place. Last step is ignore the writing on this device as release actually is the direction to extend the rubber legs and secure in place. Do this last as there is no swivel to the device other than the fact it is round and in a cup holder.Pros: This is a simple design. The pricing is well under $20 so that is a big plus. Being a cup holder device this will be good for travel in rental cars as there will be zero damage to the car from using a vent phone holder. The plastic feels solid, time will tell, but with normal use I expect this to last a long time. Both right and left release buttons extend the two phone side clamps uniformly.CONS: In my Honda Fit this would be a bit difficult to use, but at the same time much better than just resting my phone on a seat for navigation. It would be nice if you could get about 6 or 8" more reach to this device with the same type of design maybe a double arm. The spring action to the phone release is slow. There are no directions, and the arrow for Release of the cup holder is in the wrong direction.Yes I'd buy this again and recommend for anyone in need of a cup phone mount. bdv
