Marklin C Track C3 Extension Rail Track Set HO scale

Hey, this is a Marklin product. It will work exactly as it should. I have worked with many model railroad products and have found that Marklin by far outranks the others for dependable operation. Especially for floor running. After all, model trains were originally made to run on the floor. And Marklin still does.

Its a reasonable price, but the kits like this only save you $1-5 vs buying the contents individually. There is very little savings on buying sets of track vs just track parts individually - other than you end up with the big styrofoam box to store or dispose of. You do get the track plan - so its useful for kids and beginners that want that help on how to deploy the parts. It does look like the switches are NOT yet configured with digital decoders, or the electric switching relays, so if you are adding this to a starter set in digital with its controller, you will have to separately purchase the digital decoders (74461) and electric switching relay modules (74491) to install in the switches to be able to move the switches from your Mobile Station or Central Station controller. This adds another approx. $55 per turnout for the two parts. So if you intend to run the switches digitally, order those other parts also from somewhere.
