I'm no electrician but I do have a need to routinely check batteries and occasionally home outlets. I just needed the basics in a multimeter. And this unit did just that. It seems remarkably well put together for the price. The extra features of the kickstand and the rubberized "cover" were definite plusses. Worked as advertised. This unit is the one to have in your tool chest even if you have a sophisticated multimeter that meets all your needs. This little one is a great "first responder".

This is the best multimeter I've ever owned, and the price was awesome.

This multimeter does everything you'd expect, measuring resistance, voltage, and current. Only four stars instead of five because the display isn't lighted all the time--you have to press a button to request the backlight, and it comes on only briefly (about 10 seconds) before turning off again, making the meter hard to read in the dark. I really would like for the backlight to stay on longer or for there to be an option to turn on the backlight indefinitely instead of momentarily.

Accurate enough for most things, and the screen is very easy to read, even with the light on. The plastic case feels really cheap and flimsy, and the selector switch is a bit stiff. Other than that, it's a good value.

The product works great but I had to look up how to use one online, I have a box of fluorescent bulbs and the sharpie markings to tell me which were burnt out faded. This is absolutely the way to solve the problem without climbing mountains and fiddling with the bulb and receptacle. It also tested a car battery that had been sitting a while in my basement. They could have made it a little clearer how to use them for the average person and what they could be used for.

for the price it is a good multimeter to have as a spare or to keep in a vehicle emergency tool kit....the other nice thing is that it is small to store and carry with you...the numbers are easy to read... I am not sure on durability because I have not used it much...it feels cheaply made but for basic trouble shooting and testing it does what it is intended for

Bought it initially just for some car battery/alternator testing. Works as expected so far. Just some voltage readings needed but it did the job well. Backlight is good, lightweight and the plastic case it sits in adds good protection to the unit.
