Great Model for Educating Children
This model was fun to build and is an exact model of a human spine. It incorporates the spine, cartilage, and spinal cord in the model with all of them easily distinguished from each other. The spine is made of a harder, more bone like material than the other two, which further helps with educating children on anatomy. The spine bends and curves like a human model and it also incorporates the pelvis and hip joints, so I was able to discuss ball and socket joints and rotation as well. This set is excellent for the classroom, and/or in my case, for the art studio.

Incredible model
This is a quality piece and although I am not in the medical field and don't have much experience with this sort of thing, it is durable, solid, and appears anatomically correct. I ordered it to supplement a project I'm working on for Halloween this year, but when I received this, I pulled in my daughter-in-law, an osteopathic doctor, for input. This thing is a life-size male spine model with composite nerves and arteries! It's flexible although stiff at first - something I imagine might change with regular use but I suppose that depends on how one uses it. I have always been fascinated by the structural makeup of the human body and this is a great example. It is a conversation piece at the least, and an educational tool at best. I think it will also work well in the project I have planned. Quality product!

Part of stand is missing
Based on the product information, there should be at least one more piece of stand so that the stand will reach the top of the spine model

Excellent spine model
Picked this up as a potential Halloween decoration, but I didn't expect it to be such high quality. My wife commented on it as she's seen a lot of spinal models and injuries in her career, and she noted how accurate it was and could list most of the individual part. The included stand is decent if you're not moving it around a lot. You have some options with displaying it, too, as the femur bones and the skull plate at top can be removed if you need it to be displayed as such.I'm sure this would be great in a doctor's office, but it's a nice conversation piece sitting on our kitchen table at the moment. We'll "weather" it a bit for halloween to give it some spooky vibes later this year.

Great for homeschool science class
My 7 year old wanted to learn about anatomy during the summer as part of her summer school. I wasn't really sure how to teach anatomy in an engaging way to a 7 year old until I found this. I'm sure it's eventually going to acquire a name and end up being used as a Halloween prank, but for now, it's a great teaching tool for how the spine and nervous system work. There's something about the hands on nature of this tool that really helps the teaching. The quality seems quite good, but I don't know enough about spinal structure to speak to the accuracy of the molds used to make this.
