This was my first foray into Ionic toothbrushes, and I must say I'm impressed. I really like the way this toothbrush cleans my teeth. Right away I felt the same smooth feeling you get from using an electric toothbrush, but without the hassle. You do have to hold it so you don't put your fingers over the solar cell when brushing and you have to use it in bright natural or artificial light, but that's not much of an issue. The only downside is that the toothbrush has a rather small head and it takes longer to brush your teeth with it. The brush comes with one style head but you can purchase other types, just like you would with an electric toothbrush, so you don't just toss it out after a month or two. Worth a try. Maybe they will make some with larger heads, since they already offer a line of different shaped heads, including charcoal heads, for different cleaning needs.

I have been using this toothbrush for around 4 months. I just had my 3 month periodontal maintenance appointment and am so thrilled with the results. I have been moved from 3 month maintenance to 6 month maintenance after a lifetime of periodontal disease. This past appointment the cleaning took around 20 minutes compared to the 40 minute appointments I was used to. It was the first time in years that they did not use any arestin treatments. The best part was that they have confidently moved my schedule from every three months to every 6 months. If you have any incidence or severity of periodontal disease, then this is the perfect tooth brush for you. I use it once per day with only water followed by flossing and a mouth rinse. You won't be disappointed.

The length of this toothbrush is way too short. It is difficult not to find your hand blocking the solar panel at the bottom of the brush. So feel not getting maximum results from the brush. My teeth however do look a whiter and my gums are better.

I liked the toothbrush when I used it, but haven't been able to continue using it. The main problem I had was with the bristles that came with the brush. They were really hard; so hard that I felt my gums hurt a little if I didn't brush carefully. So now I'm waiting to get new, softer ones. Also the handle is just a little bit too short, so it's easy to block the sensor with your hand. I had to adjust how I held the toothbrush.Problems aside, I like the toothbrush. My teeth and mouth felt nice and clean. I didn't get that "artificial" freshness that you get from toothpaste, but my mouth didn't get dry after brushing my teeth like it usually does with toothpaste.

I love this toothbrush! I can't believe how clean it makes my teeth. I went to the dentist a month ago and was told I needed a deep cleaning which would cost me $600! That was it- I came home and began to do research on alternative methods of rejuvenating the teeth and gums. The ionic toothbrush was part of the protocol I found so I ordered two. One for my husband and me. So amazing that I ordered two more for our kids. In one month the change in my teeth and gums are pretty profound. I highly recommend them! Also, just for your information, this version is smaller than the newest version because it is made for the Japanese hand (smaller). There's a newer version re-designed for the western hand but the price is significantly greater! I can deal with this smaller version.

I’ve used this product for five months without toothpaste as an experiment (it’s very convenient). I just had a dental cleaning, and I was a little nervous about the feedback I’d get, figuring I’d have to restart using paste.Instead, my hygienist said my teeth and gums looked incredible, cleaner than ever before. She thought I’d been flossing three times a day! So I let her know about this ionic toothbrush, and plan to gift some to others.

Product arrived - obviously a repackaged, recycled return. One strike.Second strike: No way to tell if the product works to begin with - no indicator light (like Dr. Tung's no longer available battery powered Ionic toothbrush, which I knew worked both from the indicator light in the short term and from my dentists reports over the years in the long term) which to make sure the circuitry works.Third strike: And even if the product does works to begin with, no way to know when the product fails to work either, until you go to the dentist. Until then, the placebo effect seems the only effect you can count on, and even then only if you believe in this product. Which at this point, I don't.
