Trash machine and bad seller
Warning! This is total trash. I've been threading pipes for years and always had a Ridgid for my portable machine but it was stolen. I bought this Vevor machine with high hopes. Big mistake! This garbage ruined three 1 1/2 pipes I was threading. The pipe threader is only as good as the cutting dies. The die simply broke teeth and destroyed the pipe end making them now too short to place in position if cut and rethreaded. See photos! I tried to return this but was totally screwed by the seller and Amazon! First the seller will not accept it without an RMA and buyer must pay shipping. I sent it back costing me 50+$. They received it and never returned my money. I contacted Amazon and they said the return was approved so I waited and waited for my money. NO MONEY! Seller never answers the phone or returns emails. 300$ + 50+ shipping simply gone. After doing research Vevor is not a tool company but a Chinese distributor who dumps Chinese trash on the USA market and the amazon sellers are a laptop in some bedroom. Beware of this Temu type trash that Amazon is complicit with distributing to us the buyer. This is a big red flag for Amazon now. If the item you are buying doesn't say "ships from Amazon" Don't buy it. It could be from anywhere. If it doesn't ship from Amazon, go to a credible source who has it in stock. I waited 3 weeks for this pipe trash and now I understand it came from China! Amazon and the so called "Vevor Store" simply screwed me for all my money. I am making a report for "Consumer Reports". Also keep in mind Amazon uses AI for customer interface. I could never get to a human even on Amazon chat!

Works ok, just have to know what you’re doing
I used this on 1-1/4” black iron pipe so far. Will be trying the 2” soon. It cut the threads with relative ease. Just have to remember just like a hand cutter you need to reverse to break the chips ever so many turns.Only complaints are;The teeth didn’t last very long. Still cuts but I do have a few that broke, could have been user error. The detent ring does not like to allow the die to seat. Have to make sure the “open” ends are on the gravity side (bottom) so that they 1. Don’t come out and 2. Don’t get caught when trying to put the die in.

Great value for top quality product.
Husband was thrilled. Already used to move gas stove in friend's house. Heavy duty and tool attached holds pipe in secure position for perfect threading.Highly recommend!

Amazon is not making this easy
First time I used it on black iron for gas pipe and the head broke so I'm trying to buy a new head for the ½" cutter die. Help!

You get what you pay for.
Cutting threads is hit and miss fore sure. When it cuts a good thread, it does cut a good one. You really have to babysit the cutting.

They forgot to put a hammer in the kit
Needles to say after only cutting three pipes ends the last pipe got jammed inside the die. Had to use a hammer to remove the pipe from the die. I did clean out the die after each completion of threading, I used compressed air to clean out the metal shavings. Some how the mental shaving are getting inside the die and between the outer pipe wall causing the die collar to create more threads on the aluminum collar. See pictures. If this was made of steel it wouldn’t have happen but because irs aluminum it allows the metal shaving to cut into the metal and jamming the pipe. One more thing to note the pipe instructions are worthless and serve no purpose even after watching the video, the pipe will not threading into the die as viewed in the video. It’s need to be pushed into the die as the tool is in operation further more the die keeps coming out during this process. Couldn’t even complete my project with this tool. Very disappointed in this tool.
