WATIEOBOO Responsive & Pro Metal Trick Yoyo for Kids & Adults - Black Red

This yoyo feels a bit light, but I can't find my scale to weight it. Performance is kind of floaty. It likes to move slow, but you can push it faster but not godspeed fast. This is more of a "chill/relax" yoyo, great for casual play, but could step up to competition if you wanted it to.The yoyo itself pops with the gold/black colorway with the laser etched graphics, brand and model. Thank you. Easy to identify products are much appreciated, especially as this will be part of a very large yoyo collection. The shiny appearance is because the yoyo does not have a surface treatment. Grinds are not recommended on this yoyo as there is maximum friction due to the smooth surface. While I could use the included yoyo glove, I don't like using yoyo gloves, so I didn't. I like to do grinds and this one has the type of shape that can do it, but you need to use a glove to make it happen.The yoyo comes stock with a lube flat C bearing that I immediately swapped for the included curved bearing. This was made easy thanks to the included bearing puller. Response appears to be a 19mm OD slim pad(YYF), so it's easily replaced and could be siliconed if you're into that.My impression is this is still a fun yoyo, definitely a good purchase and I'm keeping it. It could DNA but it won't last long. This can also be a good 5A yoyo. It played smooth. It was light for my preferences and I do admit I like things 67+ grams. The slower play is going to be a nice attribute as you're learning complicated tricks and work on your technique. This also makes this fantastic for newer players into unresponsive play because the floaty play and large catch zone will help players learn tricks and skills. It's also low enough in price to be a EDC, especially in the included zipper case that prevents damage.

This is a great yoyo for either beginners or intermediate yoyo enthusiasts. Comes with enough strings for tangles, a carrying case that works great, and a glove for spinning tricks. We really like the black and blue art style. Not a bad option if you like the color scheme.

The media could not be loaded. Got my hands on the new R8 from Watieoboo. This yoyo is capable of responsive and unresponsive play. Box arrived with the yoyo in the responsive set up, perfect for responsive play right away. This makes it a very suitable introduction for someone with little to no knowledge of yoyos. One can practice the basics of yoyoing with this set up. Once the fundamentals have been learned and able to bind, the additional unresponsive bearing can then be installed on the yoyo to replace the responsive bearing and learn more awesome tricks. Oh, did I forget to mention that the bearing and axle removal tools are included with this purchase? 😀I mostly played with the yoyo on this set up which I had fun with! I'm still learning additional tricks myself and this yoyo is also a good choice for it. It's not as stable as a bi-metal yoyo, but it does the job. Finger spins aren't feasible for me at the moment as this maybe because of skill but also this yoyo has very flat central cups. All in all, still a good yoyo especially for beginners because of the responsive capability.

This was very poor performance yo yo! My son Was expecting a good performance yo yo as he spent his birthday money on it! He was very disappointed and it’s horrible yo yo!

This yo-yo is well put together and works as advertised. My 7 year old learned how to do many professional tricks with this yo-yo. Highly recommend.

This is a nice improvement from the last version of this yoyo also. The finish of this yoyo makes is optimal to do finger spins and the dna yoyo tricks.Great for beginners. You get a nice yoyo without the huge price tag. It has all the qualities of the higher end stuff .

I got this through the Vine Program in exchange for my honest review. I can recommend this yoyo at the listed price ($24.99) with a few specific caveats:- If you're like us (meaning those in my household interested in yoyo-ing more) and moving from an old-school, classic-shaped yoyo like a Duncan Imperial or a simpler butterfly-shaped responsive yoyo, there will be a learning curve with this yoyo- Related, in getting this yoyo, we learned that we fall somewhere VERY low on the beginner scale :^D- As such, if you want some reviews from folks a bit more in the know, look at some of the other reviews of this product. If you want some perspective from absolute "noobs", please read more!Those caveats aside, we are happy with this yo-yo for various reasons:APPEARANCE: We got the black/green/yellow colorway and it looks awesome. Very nice finish, very vibrant colors, cool to look at and it "pops." It has a nicely symmetrical butterfly-build. The finish is smooth to the touch...no flaws, burs, knicks, etc.FEEL AND USE: As I said, we're "moving up" from classic-shaped and plastic/rubber "stunt" yoyos to this WATIEOBOO, which is made from an aluminum alloy. It is much lighter and feels different than we are used to. Not bad, just an altogether new experience that we're adjusting to. It does rest and balance nicely in hand, whether that hand is an adult's or a kid's.It is balanced as well. We were worried about it wobbling a lot with our throws, but we also learned that is 99.9% likely because we are throwing it poorly, and have yet another new skill to learn to use this type of yoyo - regardless of brand! Other reviews are positive, so we are confident we'll learn it as quickly (or slowly) as we're meant to.INCLUDED STUFF: It comes with a decent case, and the needed tool for swapping bearings, as well as both a responsive and unresponsive bearing. It also comes with a yoyo-ing glove (appropriate for kid's or small adult's hands, but it certainly won't fit mine) and a bundle of strings. More on the strings below.MAINTENANCE: It's easy, just don't rely on the included instruction manual for how to swap out the bearings or attach strings. Find some YouTube videos, they are abundant and clear, and apparently this yoyo is built like most other swappable responsive/unresponsive yoyos (except that with this, and others, you can't swap out the axle rod, just the bearing).I am not taking off any stars because of our learning curve. I didn't do too much research before getting this yoyo, but I sure am learning a lot now! We're excited to learn some new skills beyond "the sleeper" or "walking the dog."I am deducting a single star for a few small reasons:- The poor and incomplete instruction manual that doesn't include how to swap bearings (and the ones on the AZ product page are terribly translated and incorrect)- The included strings were bundled together in one giant knot, but also somewhat knotted up with each other. Additionally, they are all pretied with a finger loop, but it's not a slipknot, and the loop is made for smaller fingers. We snip off the loop part of the string (don't snip the other end) anyway to shorten the string, so we made our own slipknot. Lastly, the string doesn't look/feel/play particularly great. It feels a bit too loosely wound and thick. But, again, I'm a yoyo rookie. I'll be looking more into yoyo strings.In summary, I'm happy with this item, and having quickly learned what I have, I'd still consider this a worthy purchase to evolve upward in our yoyo experience.
