Champion Pool Shock Liquid Chlorinator for Pool Water Disinfection (4 Pack)

We live in the south (GA) so we don’t have to winterize the pool for a hard freeze. For our in-ground salt pool over the winter months, I clean the pool and filters and backwash the sand filter and then install a safety cover. I install a bypass insert in place of the salt generator. Then one day a month I add a gallon of Pool Shock Chlorinator and run the pump for 24 hours. This keeps any algae growth in check over the winter months. When we open the pool in spring, the water only requires minimal chemical treatment after salt has been added. Easy and cost effective way to keep water chemistry healthy while pool is covered. (While only running the pump once per month, I make sure that the water lines are purged before re-starting pump).

Will never use another shock brand again! Easy to use, does the job amazingly well!! Getting it delivered is great as well as I have a hard time getting heavy stuff through the store to the car and out to the pool!

Great deal for pool

It works fine, but too pricey. The chlorine I buy from my local Pool Supply store is less expensive and works just as well.
