Klein Tools VDV026-211 Coax Installation Kit with Crimp Tool, Cable Cutter, Stripper and F Connectors with Storage Bag

I went on YouTube and found a video on how to use the Klein Coax Installation Kit. Watched it. Everything was perfect the first time trying it. I own an RV Park and will be installing 25 new sites with internet modems, and will need 25 new coax cables. Buying this product to make my own coax connection cables is a great investment. Didn’t know it was this simple. Not the cheapest but the best!

This kit was a joy to use. After watching the brief (2-minute) how-to video (Google "Klein Tools how to strip and terminate coaxial cable"), I made consistently reliable connections in seconds!I went from never terminating Coax cable to cutting a cable, stripping the insulator, and crimping a new connecter in under 30 seconds. It's a really fantastic bit of kit. I'm tempted to create custom-length cables for other areas in the house to tidy up the coiled messes I've previously had to ignore because I didn't know it would be this easy to fix.Paired with a Klein Coax Explorer, I can validate each new connector to ensure there are no shorts and that both conductors are working as expected before putting the new cable in service. This is a buy-it-for-life type of tool. Go for it!

Item was received fast. This product was exactly what I needed to splice a coax cable with confidence. Really made the job easier than I ever expected. Not a tool I will use every day but an excellent tool to have on hand. Would buy again and recommend.

This got tv antenna set up done. Crimper is very good. Coaxial stripper ok.

Finally used it to make a connection and it is a fine product. The cutter pliers (made in USA) cut the coax cable fine. The stripper and crimper tools (made in China) work fine too. I was disappointed because I bought the Klein brand specifically thinking it was made in USA. Only one of the tools is though. Back in the day, Klein lineman's pliers were so common that old school electricians (like my dad) just called them "Kleins." It comes with a nice Cordura zippered pouch to store the tools.

The tools are good quality but the included "universal" connectors are worthless for anything smaller than thick quad-shielded RG6. I tried crimping some Commscope tri-shield RG6 (same stuff the cable co uses) and it just flops around within the connector, the shield braid doesn't even fully contact the barrel. There is a gap large enough where you can stick a small screwdriver in between. Fortunately the tools work great with other connector brands like PPC which fit much more snugly. Someone in another review complained about ingress on the yellow Klein F connectors and this is probably why. They should be used for quad-shielded RG6 ONLY. Do some test crimps first and use the correct connectors to match your cable.

I like how well and easy the Klein tools work to make your cable connections. The stripper works well on quad cable, the connectors slide onto the cable easy enough, and the crimper makes a tight, tug resistant connection. I've used other systems in the past, and this is the best so far. Not the cheapest, but a good value since it works, one try.

Purchased this when I installed an antenna in my attic. I had to run new cables. This made making the crimps very easy. Work great as expected. Cost more than most on Amazon but I feel it was worth it.
