Not Helpful To Beginners
This is poorly written and not very helpful for a beginner. I have a lot of AutoCAD experience. I was hoping to find this book helpful to introduce my teenage students to AutoCAD as they pursue engineering and architecture careers. Look elsewhere.

If you're new to AutoCad, do not use this book.
I have my fair share of using AutoCAD, starting with Release 12. Yeah, early 90's. I'm going to keep the book to test my knowledge. I went through the metric and standard exercises in the 2023 workbook by Shrock, twice, with no major issues. I highly recommend her version over this one. I wonder if anyone actually double-checked the instructions before print?

Kind hard to understand just reading.
It you are just trying to sit and read the book. It will make it very hard. Found it help to understand and retain while sitting at the computer and the program open.
