Beyblade X Tail Viper 5-80O and Sword Dran 3-60F Dual Pack Set with 2 Right-Spinning Tops; Battling Top Toys for 8 Year Old Boys and Girls

Tail Viper 5-80O (Orb) and Sword Dran 3-60F (Flat) are right rotation Beyblades (Japanese spinning tops) designed to work in Takara Tomy’s (TT; a Japanese toy company) Beyblade X generation compatible beystadiums (not included) using winder or string launchers (also not included). Tail Viper (the Hasbro counterpart of TT’s ‘Viper Tail’) is a Stamina type that seems to be the same in physical form (with the exception of the QR code and slightly foggy decal) to one of the the Random Booster Japan releases, so in other words, you get a confirmed color previously not available by choice due to the nature of a random booster release in the Japan market. Its ratchet is 5-80, which is a five-sided ratchet deemed okay for competitive play in the current meta, but 80 is rather tall and not good for attack. The Tail Viper blade is supposedly better for attack despite being described as a stamina bey, so it doesn’t exactly work well with tall ratchets in that regard. The bit (the part of the Beyblade X bey that makes contact with the stadium floor) known as “O” stands for “Orb,” and it is a nice bit for stamina because it has less surface area than the previous “Ball” bit that is similar in round shape and function (just better than Ball was). This function is to stabilize in the center of the stadium. The attack type Blade known as Sword Dran (aka ‘Dran Sword’ in Japan) on the other hand, is an okay smash attack blade that attempts to knock opponents around. The red and black coloration of this particular bey was once sought after due to only being available as an expensive stadium set release. With this affordable Hasbro set, you get that color for a bargain price! Somewhere in Japan there is a jealous blader that is envious that you are able to purchase this Hasbro set. Moving on, 3-60 is a 3-sided ratchet with decent performance and is considered more ideal in height to other ratchets. “Flat” or “F” is a good attack bit and perfect for Sword Dran’s blade because it gains greater speed at the cost of stamina. Thereby, using the Xtreme Stadium (not included) accelerator rails to whip around to strike at the center of the stadium and knock the opponent towards to Over or Xtreme Zones for an Over Finish or Xtreme Finish, respectively. In conclusion, this Hasbro Beyblade 2-pack has useful parts (the ratchets and bits) and in otherwise rare colors, a fact that I especially like because Hasbro is directly selling affordable limited release material that was harder to obtain by Takara Tomy in the more expensive Japan sets, so…. yeah, I think most Beyblade X fans will also be happy with this.

My grandson is obsessed with BeyBlades. They hold up really well and have great spinning power.

You get sword dran with a competitive setup. You also get tail viper who is pretty decent but not with the setup it comes with. Tail viper comes with orb which is pretty decent for other beyblade setups

I wasn’t sure on buying beyblades from Hasbro after what happened with Beyblade Burst. But when I opened the box and felt the metal, I said “My god… they actually did it.” The price was also super worth it, especially if your are sick of Random boosters. (That why I bought this set) I can’t wait for the next beys they make. Now I just wish they gave us the TT version of the app instead that copy and paste.

8 yo grandson loves his Bey Blades. No electronics! These are built to crash against each other and the sides of the arena. Very durable.

years from now we'll look back on when this generation of Beyblade X first came out, and realize "those were the days" but seriously, this is a solid 2 pack, grab these and the soar phoenix with the string launcher and you're good to go with a playable deck of 3 for a tournament.
