Abbott Freestyle Libre 2 Plus Sensor for diabetes monitoring CGM for UK

So, I lost my prescription one and ordered this.It has a slightly different logo on box from the NHS version but no biggie. I’ve stuck it on and (waiting the hour for sensor to boot up) so far all looks good.I’ll report back in an hour to see whether it’s working but meantime having read some of the negative reviews I’ll add,-1, once you’ve stuck it on your arm make sure you use the very top part of your phone to scan sensor/otherwise it won’t work.2, if it’s very hot and you is sweaty don’t try to put it on, it won’t stick or stay on. Wait until you’ve cooled down in cool shower and/or use an alcohol wipe to clean contact area of sweat.3, make sure you buy some Libre covers (lots on Amazon) which will protect it and stop you mistakenly pulling/knocking the thing off.I work on a car production line handling tools, climbing in and out of small cars 10 hours a day and in 4 years have only pulled one off/I pulled 3 off in 6 weeks before I bought some covers.Watch this space for continued review.Ok, after the usual 60 mins it ‘booted’ up and here we are 30 hours later and it’s still working perfectly.Obviously it may fail prematurely and I’ll report back or(As I suspect) it may last the full 14 days.Watch this space.😄So 14 days of faultless operation.All great and highly recommended.As an aside for ‘newbies’ IF you ever buy a dud orit stops working before the 14 day period Abbott offers an excellent 08.00 to 20.00 phone service where after answering a couple questions they’llsend a new one out next day delivery.😀

I use these regularly but this sensor just seemed to give false readings a lot and so many connection errors! So frustrating and never had this before but first time buying them here and not from the company itself. Save you money and buy direct, only reason I got here was for next day delivery.

Customers should be aware that continous glucose monitors aren't very accurate, yet they are important to check glucose patters. This device does that very well. It lasted the 14 days and was easy to setup and use. Really recommend it.

I find the Freestyle Libre 2 Plus so easy to use—just a quick scan and I can see my levels without finger pricks. I am not yet diabetic, but it helped me monitor my blood glucose levels with less hassle, good connectivity and function. It’s a perfect buy for those with diabetes.

Does not work - spent money buying this and a vet visit to put this on and it doesn’t scan to the app. Complete waste of money and time and dog half shaven for nothing.

This has been a great purchase for me. Having recently been told I have Type 2 Diabetes, I wanted to see if I could beat it with diet. The sensor showed all the things I ate that peaked my glucose [and it was a real learning curve!]. Being able to check out how I'm doing has been a real motivator for me. They aren't cheap but for me, it was worth every penny. You can share the app with a friend .. this has helped someone I know to monitor her sister's glucose levels and keep her safe.I'd recommend it for the help it has been to me and others I now know about.

Very useful instant blood sugar reading. I bought this 2 plus pack by mistake but luckily it works with my Libre 2 reader. My previous patch got knocked off and I do not like being without one, especially overnight.

Sensor never lasts the 15 days it promises , this time it lasted just 2 days before it stopped working , which is both useless and expensive
