Great little tool, great cuts
Makes perfect black pipe and PVC cuts once you get it dialed in. The order was missing a couple parts when I received it. The box arrived in tattered pieces so I'm not sure if they were missing originally, or got lost in transit. Either way, I contacted the seller and they went beyond what I expected to make it right.Note that the assembly instructions are actually pretty bad, but the actual device and it's components are pretty solid. I ended up just using the Amazon picture to assemble it.

Seems OK for what it is
For the price this will make cutting small metal items safer and more convenient. The machine is pretty well made and feels substantial. The base is cast iron, the top is cast aluminum. The assembly instructions are poor but with a little common sense you can get it done. Adjustments and assembly require 3 different allen wrenches (cheap versions included) and at least 3 different size hex nuts and bolts (wrenches not included). I attached the allen wrenches to the base with a magnet because you need them to tweak the alignment, move the fence and remove the shield for wheel changes. I thought the washers for the bolts that mount the router support arms were insufficient and I wound up grinding opposite sides off better washers to fit in the slotted holes. Comes with a couple of different bolt sizes to mount the grinder and my DeWalt grinder fit right in. The bolts through the arm that press on the grinder and provide rotational adjustment are a little hookey too and even came loose while cutting. I'll probably have to add lock nuts to fix that (couldn't find the right ones tonight). Getting the thing adjusted was a chore (about 45 minutes). It took a little experimenting to figure out the best adjustment sequence. The instructions are non-existent for that. It did cut pretty true afterwards though. I highly recommend attaching it to your workbench because it will move around on you if you don't. The base includes 2 holes for that purpose, I used a single C clamp that fit in the front depression and that seemed like enough but maybe I will eventually mount it on a piece of plywood. The fence is OK but not great. The grinder hits the fence when the fence is in the right hand slot and that limits the width of the material you can cut. I did buy this model as opposed to a cheaper alternative because it has 2 fence slots and I had read about this issue in other reviews. You can move the fence to the left slot and I think the grinder will then not contact the fence (didn't try that yet). But the left hand slot does not capture the nuts used to lock the fence down so it will be a little awkward to adjust. Also the left slot is not as long. Because it is so difficult to align you will not want to remove the grinder very often so having a second grinder to clean up welds and debur with is pretty much a requirement. Bottom line is it's not a chop saw but will do the job for small items and for about $25 delivered doesn't break the tool budget.

Good item for the money
This is a solid stand, sturdy metal base and arm, fits cheap HF grinder and does the job, given the size of the grinder and disk the use is limited to small diameter parts, probably an inch thick or so, but once you square the grinder you can easily get nice cuts, With a stady hand you can probably do without this but for the price its not a bad tool to have. get a cheap dedicated grinder for it as otherwise you'll spend more time adjusting the position of the blade that cutting without this holder.________++++

Surprisingly high quality
Very sturdy, well-designed and well-made tool.Solid cast base, stable pivot with no play, solid holder for grinder and workpiece.Given the price, I expected the build quality to be poor - paint missing, threaded parts not fitting too well, lightweight metal, etc. But the workmanship on the tool was very good and everything fit together quickly and easily.Instructions could have been a little clearer: the top/bottom adjusting screws need to have plastic caps pressed or hammered on before installing (see pictures). One cap is flat, one is angled and better for lower adjuster with my grinder.

Just doesn’t work
I spent about 45 min to an hour setting this up carefully, making sure everything was mounted straight and true. After that I spent about two hours trying to set up two cuts, one 90 degrees and one 45. I eventually got the 90 to work out okay, but it would cut through (the collar of my black and decker grinder hit the clamp and wouldn’t go any further), so I had to flip the one inch square tube over to finish the cut. I probably could have made almost as good a cut freehand in about 1/10 the time. The 45 degree cut wouldn’t work at all. The clamp mechanism just wouldn’t allow the grinder to go more than ¼ way though the piece and the clamp kept shifting no matter what I didAdditionally, there is a fair amount of play side to side in the arm holding the grinder. The vibration of the grinder quickly loosens the bolts on the clamp. The guard is made of plastic and doesn’t fit around the grinder, ie. It is of no use as a safety featureThis tool is a good idea, but it just doesn’t work.

I didn't have any trouble fitting my grinder in this tool
I needed this tool for a project, but I didn't know anybody even made it. I was concerned when I read some reviews that said you couldn't get a grinder to fit in it, but I needed it to work really bad. Well, It came in and I put it together after a little bit of staring at the parts trying to figure out why I had parts left over. Then I figured out that there are two sets of bolts that are made to screw into the handle holes in the grinder. I also had to leave off a plastic bushing on one of those handle bolts but the screws are screwed in all the way so it isn't going to come flying off, and the only other mounting screws on the thing just wedge the grinder in place so it is tight, and works perfectly for what I needed. I would definitely recommend this tool to a friend.
