Dansk 16-Piece Classic Fjord Porcelain Dinnerware Set, White

This is a nice dish set for the price. Like other reviewers have noted, the plates are fairly deep because of the bowed sides so they don't fit nicely in the dishwasher (they do fit in our Bosch, but only at a weird angle taking up a lot of space). They have a nice weight to them and look awesome on the table. The color is a nice clean white - not bluish or yellowish. Someone at Christmas dinner called their shape "squoval" (square + oval) - which is pretty accurate. The bowed sides really do keep food and liquids on the plate, which I never thought of as being a problem in the past, but walking with a plate full of food with these is easy! The mugs are very comfortable to hold and don't get too hot. I bought 3 sets (of 4 four-piece place settings each) in white and only two pieces had noticeable imperfections: one of the bowls has a small black spot on the outside (baked into the glaze), and the edge of another bowl is kind of rippled where it should be smooth (like someone pinched the clay a little before it was fired). Both issues are so minor though that no one ever notices. Everything was also really well packaged; nothing was broken even though the outer boxes looked a little beat up upon arrival.

These are beautiful and sturdy dishes and we use them for our daily dishes. The plates are good size and fit our meals. The sides slope up which is great for preventing spills and for scooping up food. They are rounded with flat ends which makes them a little stylish. They have some heft to them and are not delicate. I have a dog that cruises our counters when we are not home and he has managed to do some damage to dishes waiting to be washed (he has a long reach, lol), which is why I purchased a new set, so I was pleasantly surprised at how thick and heavy these dishes were. The only thing I would suggest is to make them in other colors besides green. But even if they don't , I would definitely purchase these again.

I have a classic blue and white Dansk bistro pattern from 25 years ago. The dishes are great quality so I use them daily, but wanted something to jazz them up. A these bowls are the answer. A little edgy with the shape. Nice size. A little large for cereal, but perfect for a soup or salad. Great quality. Match the white in the old Dansk dishes perfectly. Very pleased.

The mug is great actually perfect sizeAnd shape. At thanksgiving our host used these forCoffee and I loved them so much I immediately went home to order. I got from two different sellers and both were horrible packaging and all mugs in both boxes were broken or chipped on arrival. I could only ship one box back free. The other seller wasn’t prime I would have had to pay and it cost more than the two mugs that were in that box. So... overall a total loss forMe. Very disappointed.

Love this Dansk place setting! We used to have Dansk white plate setting over 20 years ago and they were great. We got rid of them after 12 years and got something else but I always missed the quality and white dishes. The thickness is not like any off brand and love the shapes.

I bought these dishes a little over year ago and loved them. I wanted to get some more so I could have service for 12. But I was so disappointed when these dishes arrived this time. The set of dishes I got had pitting in them and the shape and thickness of the set was different than the sets I order a year ago. I was expecting that the dishes would be the exact same but they were not. I am so unhappy with this purchase. The quality was terrible and has definitely gone downhill. Just comparing the dishes in this latest shipment, there were huge differences in quality form one dish to the next. It's like I was sent factory seconds; inconsistent product and poor quality overall. I really like what I got before and am so incredibly unhappy that the quality has gone downhill. I will be finding another set of dishes to purchase form a another manufacturer.

I purchased 4 sets of this ( white ) from Amazon. My wife liked the shape of the plates and wanted to buy another 4 sets in sage color. Since Amazon does not sell sage color sets, I bought them from a different vendor.The white sets: We like the shape, the size and the weight of the plates. We use them every day. Mugs are too deep for my fingers to reach the bottom to clean inside. The contents are not visible when half filled. I prefer shallower and smaller mugs. Bowls are good for salads, but are too deep for soups. Need to tilt the bowl to get soup in a spoon.The sage color sets: Thicker and heavier than white sets. The bulky plates look like a little cheeper wares and too heavy. A couple of plates show uneven color,i.e. more white in a few areas.Both sets have a little ripples on the surface of the plates, which are not seen on high quality wares. But, they are good for everyday casual uses.

Nice stuff but one of the large plates had a large chip.

i had to return the items, they were full of manufacturing defects.
