Better than Quntin's lamps
I had bought a couple Quntin (sp?) monitor lamps and they were crap. Granted, this is a laptop lamp, but it's so much more solid than what Quntin had, and it's been on my laptop for the last hour and it's still working, which is better than the Quntin lamp did, so I'm impressed. I'll update if it stops working in an unusually short period of time like Quntin's lamp did. It attaches better to my laptop (I'm not afraid it's going to fall off like I was the Quntin monitor lamps), it's feels more solid, and it's working!

For laptop users that don't have a back lit keyboard
Fits my laptop perfectly with a beautiful array of lights for any brightness. Well worn the price and when not in use you can store it in the soft bag that it ships with. If you don't have a back lit keyboard this is your solution.

Good Light Fixture
This is exactly what I needed to be able to see the keyboard clearly in both lit rooms and dimly lit ones. I have only two caveats to other buyers: (1) be aware the light doesn't function when the computer is off or asleep so don't make my mistake thinking the light was broken when it didn't go on before i turned on my laptop and (2) the light's clasp holds on with a weak grip to the lid. It is sufficiemt when the laptop doesn't move but easily loses its grip when moved about with slight shaking (might be due to the rounded edges of my laptop).

Awesome Light!!My new Asus 17.3” laptop does not have a lighted keyboard.After watching several customer review videos on youtube demonstrating the (CATPOWER Portable Light) I purchased one for my new Asus 17.3” laptop.This light is everything that it is advertised to be and more.The way in which this light is designed keeps it from interfering with the display.It actually enhances the display and illuminates the keyboard.Well designed and a must have if you have a laptop without a lighted keyboard or withpout a backlight keyboardThanks, CATPOWER for a Greate Desing
