These Merrells are extremely narrow, and even ordering one size larger than my normal size, are still too narrow and hard to fit my foot into, very uncomfortable.

Note: I ordinarily would have purchased on Amazon (love Prime options/returns), but found at 25% discount elsewhere.I've long owned Merrells. I explored less expensive options this time around, found that cheap does indeed = cheap. so went back to Merrell. I'm a solid 9.5M in 90% of the shoes I buy, but have found that Merrells can run just a bit small on my larger foot. Based on that experience and after reading reviews of this particular shoe, which is lined, I went with a 10. Fits great--and what a comfy shoe in cold mornings! For those of you wondering if the cut comes up high enough for good ankle support, the answer is yes. I have high arches and two knee replacements; I don't mess with shoes without good support, and these have them. If you're planning to wear these mostly without socks (I am), the fur does add some warmth, but the cut does not come high up on your ankle joint. If you'll definitely be wearing socks with these, you will definitely want to go slightly larger in size. I purchased the Andorra - love the color after so many boring brown and black Merrells. It is not an in-your-face color; a very subtle brown-ish red that will go with just about anything, but ads just a bit of zip.

This is my first pair of shoes like this, and it's been hard for me to wear anything else since I got them! "Comfortable" is hardly sufficient to describe how much I enjoy wearing these! Two days ago, I attended a funeral, wearing the "proper" kind of shoes---tan pumps that looked really good, but felt too tight. And the longer I wore them the more uncomfortable they became. Finally, I changed shoes to my travel clogs--these Merrells that fit my feet SO WELL--and then I went back into the reception after the funeral, with my dressy dress and Merrell shoes. What a combination!
