...I know this has had bad reviews but...both power options work...reception is clear considering I live in what is laughingly called the central New Jersey wasteland, which means we get poor reception from both New York and Pennsylvania. Cable is required for TV if you want any reception at all. Don't get the one immediately available from Amazon get the one you have to wait for (got the black one). Non-digital tuning is easier to deal with...so much for technology. This gets better reception thana my older Tivoli which I paid more than a hundred bucks for. In fairness, I did get this for emergency service when we lose power but really this is better than most hand held transiter radios (I'm of the Cousin Brucie WABC generation that listened to him on the beach.) Good buy for "a piece of junk." Yes the earphone is monaural, but really guys for the price and reception? Longevity I cannot speak for but...the cost...eh...some of you piss away more at Starbucks in two weeks. Excuse my French...

My 98 year old Mom cannot see or hear very well, but loves to listen to the radio. A digital radio would not work for her. This is very simple to use, has large dials, and the off switch is right with the volume. She keeps it near her ear and says it works great. Plus it is large enough for her to find it if it gets dropped.

I bought this for my husband who loves listening to a radio before falling asleep and when he gets up early for the news. He is thrilled with it as it is a big improvement from his last radio! It works great and has very clear sound. He really likes it alot. I'd buy it again.

I purchased this style radio to put on my fence to distort my conversations, as I have depraved neighbors with a camera pointing in my yard. This radio is not able to be hacked 😁It has held up well in the weather however it is brought in each night. Sometimes there's issues with the on/off button engaging but I am pleased with my purchase

Does exactly what I need it to. I like the options to power the radio with either plug or battery. Gets good reception and sound quality is good. I haven't tried the headphone jack but don't really need it.

Great radio would recommend. It’s loud it’s small and mighty. Reception is great. The price was awesome.

Love this little radio! I'm very pleased that you can either plug it in or use batteries. It has worked very well for me so far, and I also like that it is lightweight.

Not a bad little radio. I have not used it with batteries yet. I bought it specifically to keep my parrot occupied during the day when I’m not available. I tuned in a station and leave it on for probably 8 hours a day with the volume low
