Noisy clock

Broke within two days. When I went to return it Amazon said don’t bother but refunded me, so it went in the garbage. Disappointed.

I love the look and the size of this clock. It's just perfect!

This a very simple, no frills, plastic clock; great for a workroom, bathroom, etc. Although I ordered this model (which I've owned before), I rec'd one slightly different, the white version of this: 9" WESTCLOX ROUND WALL CLOCK BURGUNDY 46983Not a problem, because it''s a slightly better clock with thin chrome trim around the face & a glass faceplate instead of plastic.That being said, I don't know what is up with all clocks these days using those cheap plastic black box clock movements. They're all very noisy. Usually the first thing I do to lessen the loud "click" is remove the second hand. In this case it didn't help much, so I actually bought a silent continuous movement from ClockParts dot com and swapped it out with a new set of hands. Now it's completely silent and looks great on the wall. If you're a DIY kind of person, check it out, it's easy to do :)

Item came very promptly and was a good value. Numbers clearly displayed and easy to read. Very pleased.

So, I have had this for about a year and one-half. It loses time but is still ticks away. I have replaced the battery, many times over, but that only helps for a short time. BTW it is a loud tick.By now your become freaked as in - is that "REALLY" the time? You cannot be sure.My previous wall clock lasted for about at least 20 Years, never lost time, and I perhaps replaced the battery 2 or 3 times at the most.I am very disappointed, mostly because I spent days and days reading clock reviews, which in this case made no difference. Boo. Hoo..
