I was given an Ergo baby carrier but since I wanted to be able to use the carrier from birth, I was in search of the infant insert part. I had an Ergo insert with previous babies, but lost it. While searching for another ergo brand insert this was the most affordable option I could find. My baby was 6lb 5oz at birth and we were able to use it on a plane ride home when he was 1 day old. It held him great and still does at over 8 lbs and 6 weeks old. I took off 1 star because I don't love the harness/ Velcro part as I feel like it's unecessary and cumbersome. But overall works great and I think it could be used with any brand baby carrier, I appreciate the versatility. I've thrown it in the wash and it has held up wonderfully.

Love this newborn insert! I received a Tula baby carrier at my baby-shower and was eager to use it, so I purchased this newborn insert asap. Works great! Little one is snug-as-a-bug and typically falls asleep soon after getting in the carrier. We use it to go on weekly (moderate) hikes, grocery store runs, and even sometimes use it while doing household chires/tasks. Being a little more 'hands free' has made all the difference for me and has saved my shoulders tremendously! Doing the cradle hold all day was creating a bad pinch in my neck and using the carrier to transport little one around has been a savior.

I tried using my carrier without this insert and I just felt like my newborn was not comfortable. I’m so glad I bought this! My baby weighs 7 pounds 8 ounces and he fits in this perfectly and seems so much more content and comfortable snuggled up to me inside of the Tula when he is in the insert. I highly recommend this to anyone with a tiny babe that they wish to wear early on.

I've used the insert a couple times now and it really works well. It's nice to be able to lay my baby down on it in the backseat and put her into the carrier in the insert - she's easier to hold securely and to get all her limbs in comfortably. It also puts her at exactly the right height. The padding also helps "fill out" the carrier so she's secure.
