Wonderful!
I think this product is clever and extremely helpful. The website of the seller has videos to help with placement although (my only criticism) I didn't find the videos explicit enough on placement (for my mind) but I did get enough of an idea to figure it out (eventually) on my own. If you have a chiropractor, s/he can help you with the placement too. Part of the reason I had trouble with placement is because I found the wedgy painful to use. The videos did explain that this is often normal if you are very tight in your low back and/or it can also mean that you just need to adjust it up or down a fraction of an inch - most people use it too high up and that can hurt. Also, if you are tight, just bend your knees for awhile until you relax into it. Also, you can use a towel over it to soften it but usually if you find the right spot it is comfortable. Work into it gradually! So does it work? For me, absolutely yes! What relief it gives! I absolutely love it.My chiropractor told me about this little gem but also said you can just use a rolled up towel. I tried that and it works as well but even better is a small bean bag I had hanging around - that works great too and is extremely comfortable. I am glad I bought the wedgy though because it showed me how it is supposed to fit and work so that I now know how to use a towel or bean bag to achieve the same results. Now that I am more limber though, I find I prefer using the wedgy as it is quick and easy to place and at this point, comfortable.I know it is expensive to consider buying two but I bought both the male and the female and tried them both. Because the female one was so painful at first, I switched to the male and that was much more comfortable for me (I am 5'3" and 108 pounds with a fairly petite frame) but within a week or two I found the male version no longer was as helpful (I'd relaxed enough that it just wasn't lifting me high enough) and then switched to the female one and suddenly it felt much more comfortable. So, for some of you, it might be a thought to buy both. For us, it isn't a waste of money because my husband can use the male version anyway although, he has wide hips and says he like the female one better! lol. Nice to have a selection.

I am a female who had 2 kids and the male version is better
I ordered this for a friend and wanted to try it out myself before deciding whether to buy the male or female version. I'm 5'9" with an average athletic (although I'm not) build with moderate scoliosis. I think this fit well for me and think the female version would've been too wide and short. It does take some trial and error to get the wedge in just the right spot. When I first placed it, it was a little painful, but after i adjusted it, it worked better. My piriformis is out of whack because of my scoliosis and this seemed to help my lower back pain. I only used it a few times before I surrendered it to my friend so I can't comment on the long term effects, but the short term took some of my back pain away. I'm sure with regular use, I would've been pain free with only having to use it occasionally for maintenance.A word of advice, follow the directions especially when they say to roll onto your side to lay down and get up. If your legs have a tendency to roll outwards when you lie on your back, you will be in pain if you use this and try to sit straight up. Even if your legs don't, you will ruin the effects of the wedge by stressing the muscles you are working so hard to relax. My saying as a massage therapist is "It's always better to roll and rock than load and lock." (Put a stress load on the muscles and lock them tight).

Good results...but mixed.
I have some lower back problems and find that the SACRO WEDGY gives me a good stretch and I believe it helps. So I would give it 3 stars. My 16 year-old son who runs track (sprints) and has back problems due to "pelvic misalignment" (according to a chiropractor) says it provides a lot of relief and he really likes it. When I can't find it, it's in his track bag (he takes it to meets to use during stretching). He'd give it 5 stars. So, between the two of us, I figure a 4-star rating is appropriate. The bottom line...we both feel it helps stretch the pelvis area and helps your hips drop back to a better position. He feels significant pain relief, I don't - but like it for part of my stretching routine. For the money, I think it's cheap to find out what it would do for you.

Fixes my SI Joint which I initially thought was a blown disc or something terrrible
I have and issue with my hip where my sacroiliac joint must be weak from age. About once a month or two I need to have an adjustment. Well, needed. When my SI joint was hyperextended to the point my psoas muscle had me in bed unable to move for 2 days (it hurts so much you feel you must have blown a disc and will need surgery because nothing could be this painful unless it was severely wrecked) and I was limping for a month afterwards, a person told me I need to try this product. Given the cost, I immediately ordered. This works great for me. I no longer need a monthly chiro adjustment. I simply go for a long walk and when I get back, lie on the sacro wedgy for 20 minutes. It's hard to explain but I can actually feel an uncontrolled "release" of sort in my hip section. It's not much of a feeling but it does happen and apparently, that simple little release is what keeps my SI in place. I just need to be sure I relax fully and wait long enough for it to happen.
